Do people generally size up on this or do they fit similarly to your regular IH size?
I’m usually size a large in jackets and shirt. With often a chest measurement flat between 22-22.5”
But looking at these size charts a large has a 20,5” measured pit-to-pit.
So for me to compare to my regular shirt size I would have needed at least a size XL (21.6”) or XXL (22.4”)
For those that own one, What’s your take on the fit?

I’ve learned that I’m definitely a large. I picked this up in a medium though as I wanted it to be quite fitted. -

I normally go for 20’ or just under for shoulders and 24’ or just under for chest but I’m completely lost on what that would translate into for a vest.
Never really worn one before -

Anyone else who owns this vest, I’d love to hear from ya. I found one in stock but it’s a large and I typically do XL in westerns. P2P is kinda scaring me but I know in vest sizing down is common.

@worn2fade I have the tagged Large sample. I reckon around 90% of my IH shirts are tagged Large.
I bought a medium IHV-02-IND years ago (which I later sold). It fit, but was tight to the point of being borderline uncomfortable. If in between sizes in the future, I’d buy the larger size and use the cinch.

@worn2fade this was a seasonal release and to play the odds…if you can find one now and you really want it…no telling when/if.

@worn2fade I went TTS, which for me is always 4XL in Iron Heart shirts, jackets, or vest. The chest P2P measurements on vests always made me a bit nervous, because they are usually 2“ less than on shirts. But since the arm holes are wider on vests than on shirts, the P2P measurement is going to be a bit smaller on a vest. I was always worried the vests would be too tight on me, but once I tried on one, I found they fit just right. I would NOT recommend sizing down.
Anyway, as @goosehd said, no telling when/if this vest will ever come back, so up to you.

@Alex_24 angry souls has it in an XL but after shipping it’s $400USD + tariffs. They said they’d help out with the tariffs but it’s still hard to drop 400 bones on a vest lol. I’m deciding between this one and the IHV-03-BRN I found in stock. We’ll see.

@worn2fade I'm typically a XXL in IH flannels and denim shirts, sometimes close to an XL but I find it's usually a little too small when I do size down due to tightness under the arm pits.
I have this vest in XXL and I do wonder if an XL wouldn't have been better for a slimmer fit, I don't think it would have the same fit issues as a sized down shirt due being a vest. Still get plenty of use from it as is though.
