IHSH-421-IND - 12oz Hickory Stripe CPO Shirt - Indigo
-
@Nocturama the two worst things about CPOs are the missing pockets on other shirts and dropping stuff on the floor when you forget they don’t have internal pockets like type IIIs!
-
@Fadez You’ve been around long enough to know better…ahem: https://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/topic/4083/ihsh-106-quilt-lined-selvedge-chambray-western-shirts?_=1740196266035
Edit: now if they were to reissue them…yes I too am done for and would buy both colour ways.

Is there a rough estimate of when this will be released?
-
Can’t be too long now…

Wears 35/48 days

-
@Nocturama between you and Giles wearing these hickory (hickories?) I'm stoked to see how they fade!

Today is the 47th wear of this amazing shirt - in the last 63 days. It has had 2 x 30’ low spin washes.
Where it tightened up post-wash, it has generally eased back out with wears (chest and waist).
The back length and sleeve have shortened by 0.5” to 0.75” since new - that will be down to creasing as much as the wash process, as I do spend too much time sat down at my desk.Comparing the lower and higher wear areas, the definition in the indigo and white has definitely changed - the indigo has slightly dulled the white, and the white weft is more prominent within the indigo. There is a blue sheen in certain lights, but it is difficult to explain and/or photograph.
Low wear:

High wear:

I’ve not babied the shirt at all, so whilst I’m not hitting it with hard labour everyday, it’s had it’s fair share of dirt, grime and a little grease thrown its way. The hickory has definitely become softer (more pliable) with wear, although it was never ‘crunchy’ in the first place. It wears so well - It’s perfect for this time of year (moving into the UK spring) with just an undershirt/tee. I was wearing it with an overshirt in recent (colder) months, or with a jacket/vest when outdoors.
I’ll dump a bunch more photos, but safe to say this CPO is an exceptional piece - but then you always knew it would be…
-
@Nocturama loving these updates man keep them coming!
-

Don’t forget the production version will have different snaps…

Apologies for the the multi-post - the system couldn’t handle all the photos in one go…
-
@Nocturama Any updates on the shirt?
-
I’ll post some photos later @Fadez …not got quite the same level of wear recently due to purchase of 33-OD, and the warmer weather in the UK. No doubt though, this shirt is stellar…

-
Not forgotten I need to post photos…just ran out of time today, so it stayed in the stable, but will get to it tomorrow.

This is at 70 wears and 2 washes (mainly light duties mixed with a few exertions in the garden/garage).
For fear of repeating myself, anything hickory is just money, and this CPO is a piece of art - inside and out.It feels heavier in the hand than my 33-OD and wears a little warmer too. It was a constant companion through late winter and much of spring (UK), and is very versatile in how to wear/pair. It deserves to be a great seller - there’s a reason the IHSH-07 has been around as long as it has….

This... looks... amazing...

@Nocturama looking awesome man, loving the update

Additional info, for when the time comes…I’ve done full measurements on the shirt 8 times so far!

Shoulder width has unsurprisingly remained unchanged, given a reasonable margin for (my) error.
The chest, waist and opening measurements have snugged up a few tenths under washing, but then eased back out to where they started (maybe a tenth or two over) after wear.
Sleeve has shortened maybe 0.5” through creasing (since new) but washing brings those creases out a little, and a few tenths are regained.
Biggest change is overall length which snugged up 0.75” through wear (creases and curl) and washing (cool, light spin - see earlier posts for details!).
I’ve deliberately been working the wrist snaps of late - which has resulted in a few extra tenths as well.I really wish I could get a better photo of the fading….there’s hints in this photo, but they don’t do the shirt justice…
