        I grabbed Urbanwoodsman's brown IH-816s (waist 36) to chop into shorts. They are the same size from the knee up as my wabash shorts.  I'm really looking forward to breaking these in. IH cotton duck softens up beautifully with some wear.

            @mclaincausey:

            MY 14" inseam Wabash came in today.  Gonna love em.  Anyone got ideas on what to do with the trimmings?

            You could use the trimmings for patching holes, even on other items. For example, if a beloved item becomes too old and tatty to wear in public I might patch it up and continue using it for gardening, DIY, or just slobbing around at home.

              Thanks, that's normally my approach. That'd be a looootta patches. I do have a fucked up flat head 2011 Wabash some genius used a seam ripper to remove the pockets from. Some mismatched pocket flaps probably wouldn't make the thing look much worse…

              Think it, be it.

                I remember reading your post about the pocket flaps being removed with some incredulity.

                Back to chicken legs: MikeC's wabash shorts on page 1 are seriously cool. The length and fit are spot on perfect, to my eye at least.

                  @Giles:

                  A pair get chopped for my Dad.  He lives in South Africa and is spending the next few weeks in Greece, so they'll get a good bit on wear…

                  Dam they look good!!

                          I wear shorts just above the knee. Anything over = sandhustler nu-metal Florida mudwrestler stuff…

                              My first IH Jean I purchased. From SESF circa 2010.

                              Still winter, but when in SoCal. And since they're a size 38 I dub them turkey legs.

                              Cheers from the mobile

                              Cheers! 
