Wondering if I sized this right?

Most of pictures I've seen show the back muffining up but the front usually lays down. I'm getting some fold over.

I think it looks like your torso is a little shorter, so the jacket sits longer. Personally, I prefer your look. I’m still sad these came out so short. I love a reversible jacket but could never pull this one off.

Not really. I went off my normal size because I didn't want this fit like a shrunk sweatshirt. It had my questioning if that was mistake. I'm the worst about second guessing stuff like this. Thanks for the input.

@sabergirl You're absolutely right. I realized it was just bad posture. I was folding my core in and shortening my torso.

Thanks for the thumbs up. I'm a type 1/2 head so I'm branching out of my typical fits. It's hard to tell if you got it right.

I don't know if this helps but I noticed the no patch/patch have different fits. The patch version has less length and a tighter opening. Maybe the no patch might be something you could work with.

Jackets can be tough. My first jackets are mediums, like my shirts but now I go large for jackets. I went back to the beginning of those old jacket threads and I’ll be damned if the crew didn’t say they were cut big and to size down.

For me the obvious difference is if I turn off my brain when I put it on. If my first thought is man it’s hard to get my arms in this thing then I know it’s too small. A well fitting jacket should go on effortlessly.

This is something thats been troubling me for a while - fit is so subjective, for a start, and also people change shape, or at least can do. When I first started working for IH, I was heavier than I am now, but never wore larger than an XL because I thought well fitting clothes should fit snug. I lost a bunch of weight, and sized down to Ls often to maintain that snug fit, in the last few years I prefer a roomier fit, so went back up to XL and now I've gained weight again, take mainly XXL. If you go back to see what I wore in a fit pic 5/6 years ago, it could be completely 'false' data nowadays. Not really sure what we can do to improve on this.

Equally, we update the staff vitlas pretty often, so whilst my vitals may be accurate now, on an old jacket where I wore xyz size when my vitals were xyz, if you see the photo and look at my current vitals, you would get false data to make an informed purchase.

I’ve considered this as well when looking at older sizing advice. I’d say don’t worry about extinct items but just make sure extant items have updated crew fit examples. The extinct items are moments in time and the sizing advice should be thought of that way too.

What an awesome jacket. Perfect spring weight. I noticed a missed stitched and some loose threads, is that something to worry about? I’d hate for my pocket to start opening up.

If you live in the UK I’d send it in for a repair. If not any tailor could fix this for little cost. I would get it fixed. It seems like it could become a problem.

@Fishizzle I’m very curious as to what you find. Green items of mine also have that discoloration. Looks rad, but I understand it’s also unexpected.

@Fishizzle I’m pretty sure I’ve seen a few people say that their olive serge shirts have discoloured slightly yellow too.. sorry I can’t explain what it is but it might be worth having a look through those threads and see if there’s more info on it

My green easy shorts have this. Also get it with tshirts sometimes. Not sure why and couldn’t be bothered to look into it.
