@goosehd I’m not positive but I think that slogan came about after some sort of confrontation between outlaw bikers and police in Hollister California,after which the governor went on TV and said that 99% of motorcyclists were law abiding citizens. Hence the birth/adoption of the term 1%ers,and the slogan You meet the nicest people on a Honda,and a Holligan on a Harley. They never actually publicly said that.

It really was a brilliant ad campaign. My tattooist was a 1%’r who had a few of those Honda posters in his garage as he found them quite humorous.
