Bummer it's going to be late. December and January are always expensive for me, with Xmas, Mrs H's birthday, and now Baby H's birthday. I'll have to put some extra £ away between now and then.

a later release for this one means I can probably buy the brown UHF, the green Ombre, and the grey SHF this year. just gotta find a way to hide them from the fiancee......

I always get Mrs H to guess numbers and say "higher/lower" until she gets to the number. She has learned to start high.

My wife knows that when I get into stuff, I go full tilt though. If she asks "how much?" I generally say "you don't wanna know." And we're all good as long as our bills get paid and the kids are fed and clothed.

Like I say, she used to underestimate. Now that she has learned the rough prices of IH stuff, she starts higher, and then is pleasantly surprised when I say "lower" three or four times in a row. It sounds insane, I know, but this method has anchored her expectations appropriately.
Having said that, my Crown Northampton cordovan leather trainers should arrive tomorrow, and I dread to think what she'll guess there... I'm probably going to have to explain that one...

@Matt I've thought the same thing about that shop many times before, and didn't even realize they were the most recent podcast. Though pricey, can't say they haven't piqued my interest — I'd like to check out some of their jeans in person next time I'm in LA.

Decided this will be my “heavy flannel” for the year. Brown colorway was looking good but this takes the cake I think. Reminds me of the blue anniversary UHF that was overdyed giving it that old worn look….love it
