Thank you - I know them, contacted them a few times but they didn't reply. Too bad, as I was quite fond of the work when I saw them.

I have just had my Viberg 4 Horseman buffalo leather boots resoled.

I used Shoehealer in Doncaster UK again.  They had previously done a re-heel on the boots.  I fancied a change and they had a pair of white Gloxi cut soles in stock.  I had been considering this type of sole so the fact it was in stock made my mind up.  I think they will look better with some wear as the brightness of the white sole gets muted down a bit.  I know these types of soles are often debated on here, I just fancied a change.

From the pictures the work I think looks pretty good.  I am away from home for a few weeks so won't get chance for a full inspection of them till the end of the month.

Now just need someone to recommend where I can get some quality flat waxed laces, 120-130cm long?

There is no 'I' in team …............ however there are five in 'individual brilliance'.

Not knowing a thing about the previous life of my Vibergs I decided to treat them today with the product shown in the picture. Really happy with the finish  🙂

@ddtrash your Viberg resole looks great. I was not a fan of those soles however, they look superb on your boots. I think I am having a change of heart when it comes to Gloxi soles

How often do you use this(bee oil and seal)?

I’ve done the bee oil/bee seal combo on my first custom Boss (black oil tanned leather) three times and I’ve had my boots two and a half years. I don’t have any domain leather so I don’t know how often you’ll need to do it, but it won’t be often.

What’s more important is some of these:

Regular removal of dust, dirt and grime is the best care you can give them.

Given that Wesco made your boots and then made this treatment for those boots, I'd be inclined to do what they think is best. The bee oil and bee seal aren't really made for the waxed leather on your boots, and might affect the shine and finish of the leather (changing the colour and making them more matte). Their function is essentially to maintain the breathability, and water repellant properties of oil tanned leather. I'd do a test first to avoid any disappointment.

Just reading through some old posts as I need to get a pair of IH/Viberg wild ones re-heeled and re-soled. . Can you remember the cobbler you used over Windsor way?
