IHSB-BIGBUCK-NAT - Deerskin Western Shirt 'The Big Buck' - Natural
-
Nice @dirtyframer . The deerskin is really next level. Feels so good to wear. You’re going to love it.
-
@sabergirl I have the olive, looking forward to the natural as well! The natural is significantly softer than the olive!
-
@sabergirl just an assumption but I literally told my wife that I thought it was a dye thing when it arrived Monday.
-
You’re probably right. I’ve got the black. Maybe @indigostiff can chime in since he apparently has a leather shirt obsession.
-
@sabergirl missed the restock on the black... would have loved the trifecta. Hopefully it comes back..
-
@sabergirl All of them start out as natural, from what I understand, and are then paint-dyed their respective olive or black colors, thus affecting the hand of the original hide, sort of like a coating of paint on a surface - it just changes it and somewhat stiffens it.

Performing your disappointment in this space for all the world to see must be a thrill. Perhaps you think you’ll receive more apologies this way, or just make more folks feel bad or somehow guilty for something they don’t have control over.
I guess I'm never too old to learn something new! 44 years old and all this time I thought companies who sold clothing had some level of control over the quality of the product they sell.
What's even wilder is I thought they might even rely on their customers to provide them with feedback on the products they buy in order to improve said quality, but that's obviously nonsense too
Thanks for setting us straight!

Congrats to everyone who picked one of these up. They look awesome

-
@blue2gnt I think you confuse what the IH brand as a company thinks of the big buck's production issues vs what the majority of the forum users feel.
-
No One Company in the World uses Sämischleder to produce Western Shirts. Not even Meindl or Kolesch or RL themselves! Except IHUK. The quality is outstanding. Don't confuse quality with personal taste. If you do not like it, discuss this internal with the Crew. They always find a solution. To spoil the broth on their own forum is not fair. Every man and woman too can make its own decision.
Only my opinion.
Amen. -
I would like to thank everyone for voicing their support and concerns over the past few days regarding the release of this shirt. It’s great to see the passion behind the product and the brand. Constructive criticism can be extremely useful in helping design future iterations as well as working on the procedures to make product launches more successful.
I think we all need to remember that at the end of the day, we all have strong feelings about the brand, the products, and the people that make Iron Heart what it is. People get upset, feelings get hurt, and there can be a genuine sense of frustration of realizing things could have been done better or differently.
How we present that frustration is important. No other brand has the avenues to express support like here and it’s quite special in that regard. Think about what you say as there are people on all sides of this situation. Be constructive, offer support, find ways to not only offer criticism but also recommendation for solutions.
It makes all of us stronger…
