I was looking for a thread for art enthusiasts and was not coming across one (though with all the threads, I am assuming I’m not looking in the right spot). This community and its members has been such a joy to be a part of for me this past year, figured I’d post this and see if anyone else here enjoys escaping with a paint brush or digital pen. In another life (a life that would not be able to support my IH addiction) I used to love burning the candle at both ends and really find myself missing sharing and conversing this subject. Would LOVE to see anyone’s finished pieces or works in progress!!

I've been spending the last year working with computer generated artwork (coded in the processing language) and realizing that with a pen plotter. I've also started working with foraged / natural pigments, and once spring is here I expect that to take center stage.

Here's a few of my personal highlights.

I'm an art teacher for a public middle school. Each year, we have a staff exhibit at the Delaplaine Visual Arts Center. My painting was featured in their magazine last year, and this year I found my painting framed on their wall for the exhibit today.

Here is another one from the same year 2009. This one and about a ten or so others were painted for a duo show with an old painting partner of mine. It was at Classic Electric Tattoo in Frederick, Maryland. I remember the owner didn't stay for the opening because he and his lady were leaving for a road trip to Dollywood. He made sure he left me a packed bowl in the back room though...he's the one who tattooed my back peice.

This was my favorite one along with the one in the photo I previously posted. That one is of a sculptor named Wireman. He died a few years ago. I'm glad neither of them sold and that I still have them. Most of my work sold back then.

Fished out some more...most of these are large scale oil and acrylic paintings. I used to be completely obsessed and fixated on painting and one day being an artist. I loved painting more than anything...but I've only made one since 2019. Thinking of starting again this summer on multiple canvases painted outdoors on our property.

@Matt If you look closely at the clock on the mural...there is a numeric message 3x number...
