They are on later in the evenings, 6pm is the earliest and some at 8pm, 9pm and 11pm and then into the night at times. Yeah its so commercialised, and FIFA introducing more teams is great for the sport and different audiences but to me lowers the standard so much that the group stages have way less jeopardy

@AdamC the Scott’s have been brilliant over in New England. Drinking parts of Boston dry is no small feat and even ran into a large group in Providence. Infectious energy

@flannel-slut sorry hate to do this to you, but Scott who or do you mean the Scots…

-
Ughhh. And I knew better. Just a masshole from a mass a two shits

@flannel-slut I had to do it as I looked here and saw that Canada was ranked 38 out of 48…I needed something to laugh about.
-
@goosehd haha rankings shmankings… group B is up for grabs!!

The Scots straight up embarrassed the American Irish of Boston. They outdrank their St Paddy’s Day efforts.
I would blame FIFA as much as America for commercializing the water break. What originated by necessity in Qatar will remain a fixture to make more people more money. I don’t see how you can see the corruption of FIFA and assign blame solely to the US for that. Enshittification is an international phenomenon, we just led the way.
I feel the same way as G about the Cup and FIFA’s corruption. And yet the games have been extremely entertaining as long as you mute Alexei Lalas or watch Telemundo.
After USA, pulling for England.

@mclaincausey did you see highlights of them at Fenway? I’ve been to a few playoff games where you could feel the foundation shake and it looked like nothing compared to what the Scottish (dodged that one) did during a regular season mid June game. Fucking awesome.
