I have even less interest than normal, mainly because I think the smell of corruption and cronyism surrounding Infantino is even stronger than when Blatter was in charge....

Yeah I am the same. The late night/early morning games make it hard work to get into.

So much better when the games are all in the afternoons or evenings. Once the groups are done it should heat up hopefully.

What time are games there in the UK? In australia its not too bad it starts around 5am, 10.30am and 1.30pm for the group games. If only i didnt have to work!
But i agree, a bit less interest this year cause i feel its very commercialised and tainted.

They are on later in the evenings, 6pm is the earliest and some at 8pm, 9pm and 11pm and then into the night at times. Yeah its so commercialised, and FIFA introducing more teams is great for the sport and different audiences but to me lowers the standard so much that the group stages have way less jeopardy

"hydration breaks" read: advert breaks. Even the commentators saying "end of the first quarter" is painful

The fact that the USA is trying to commercialise the World Cup and hydration breaks et al is about as surprising as the fact that the Qatar World Cup did not allow alcohol. You get what you get when the home nation is chosen.

Given that AB InBev are sponsors a non-alcoholic World Cup sounds pretty good to me.

Kickoff times aside, everything G said makes this World Cup as attractive to me as the last two.

Still want to England to win though, truth be told
