There was once a popular film (available mostly on VHS ahem) called Debbie Does Dallas. This has nothing to do with that (I hope).
@goosehd couldn’t make the anni bash, and neither could I, so IHUK generously offered to host us for a small holiday to offset our disappointment. We both arrive tomorrow and we staying with @Giles and @Madame Buttonfly over the weekend.
It will be @goosehd first time (unlike Debbie in in the aforementioned film). I told you this was different.
We’ve already a tentative plan to meet @Nkwkfld and boat trips have been mentioned. Otherwise exposing Dennis to fish & chips a full English is on the cards (that is a breakfast btw).

It has always caused raised eyebrows when I mention that from the time I spent in the UK, fish & chips loaded with vinegar, the full English and Shepherd's Pie have been culinary treats I like to this day.

@neph93 Love the alliteration!! I'm about 20-30 minutes from leaving the house and starting a 2-3 hour drive to the airport for a 8-9 hour flight. Going to follow @Matt advice and avoid eating pulled pork green chilli poutine prior to takeoff and turning my intestines inside out…
The bread looks delicious and I always love a good Shepherd's pie or fish and chips. Funny story...Laura and I were in Minnesota eating at a restaurant. She had the fish and chips and asked the server for vinegar...the server had an utter look of confusion and went back to the kitchen to get some. She came back to the table with a 4 litre jug of white cooking vinegar for her...

Granted this is coming from a yank, but if either or both of you end up in London, I feel like Fergus Henderson does some pretty damn fantastic stuff with traditional British fare at St. John.
