Interesting. Do you and your wife & kids converse in Norwegian or English?

Both. The older boys can speak English fluently, I speak both Norwegian and English to the little ones and my wife. My wife, naturally speak mostly Norwegian but does read to the small ones in English. When we’re alone my wife and I switch between languages.

It’s probably not the ideal pedagogic method as there isn’t a strict system but they receive English at school from the age of six and are surrounded by English language media already.

        Then ice.

Then nerd work. Have to finish this before the wife and the kids return in 10 days. When they are back there will be much less time for stuff like this.

It wasn‘t the most clever idea I ever hat to flex the visor out while wearing a black IHT. I currently look like I‘ve been cought in a resign flakes "snow storm".

Bi-langual from the start - that's a big advantage mate!.. Don't worry about the standard methods of upbringing, an extra language = huge perk… Plus, at that age, kids pick up a new one like we pick up change...

@neph93 I think your kids are so fortunate to have two languages spoken in their home.  Studies of bilingual children (and adults) consistently point to higher brain function.  I hope to visit Norway and the rest of Scandanavia some day.  Not only for the natural splendor, culturally I think they're doing a lot of things right.

@Cole I love seeing the pics of this project!  Is your armor vac-formed? ABS? Resin? It looks super clean so far. Nice work.

It is old fashioned PVC Foam Board (in the US they mostly call it Sintra). Printed out the pattern, cut it from the PVC board, rounded the edges and then heatformed the plates to (more or less) fit me.

Right now I'm in the painting and weathering stage and after that the chest armor needs to be placed and fixt with velcro on the vest and once my flightsuit arrived the same applies for the lower body armor.

Still a lot of work ahead of me.  ::) ???

Where'd you get the helmet? I'm curious how cosplayers make their stuff and what the quality is like. Seems like a fun hobby

I've got my helmet from Vassk, a Member of the Mandalorian Mercs ( https://mandalorianmercs.org/forum/index.php?topic=125195.0 ). Another source would be NME Props ( https://www.nmeprops.com/ ) There are incredible skilled people out there who make all kind of stuff in many different ways. It's facinating for someone like me, who lacks even basic crafting skills.

A good example for what someone with skill can do is Mynock and his project. Take a look at his projects, to see how people craft real quality props and costumes: http://mynocksden.com/projects/swtor-blasters/swtor-shae-vizla-bounty.html

Thursday I flew into Newark, to work in Newton, NJ. Flight delayed due to weather, not surprised, Anyway got to the job this AM to receive delivery. At the back of the truck in the crate is the reverse osmosis machine, weighs about 1600 lb, costs about $40,000.00. Any way, I had to reject the delivery because the crate tipped and crashed on the pallet jack. I had fun watching the 2 drivers try to right up the crate until I told them the weight. What you see in the photo is the top of the crate.

Oh well, for some reason, photo won't upload.
