For those who own both IH work pants and 888s, how noticeable is the difference in rise and overall comfort?

I'm not super experienced, but I usually size up one in a work pant compared to my 888 size. They're more akin to the 634, designed to sit more on your hips than your waist. You'll need that little bit of extra rise room to allow the work pants to slide up your legs when you bend or sit. Otherwise, you'll end up with a builder's bum because you won't have enough thigh-space for the trousers to slide up, so they'll slide down instead.

Hope that makes sense! TL;DR: I recommend sizing up once from your 888 size in a work pant.

@don_pipone denim is like beer. I only ever have two beers, the first and the last. Kinda like I only have the pair I’m wearing and one spare pair

Has anyone here taken on their own overdye projects? I really love the IH overdye look, and would love to try it on my own oldschool IH womens jeans. Though, I am wondering if I can pull it off without boiling them, and shrinking them into an unwearable artifact. The info about the overdye process online is very graciously transparent, and I have been generally tempted to see if I can get the look down myself. I would love to hear more about anyone who's taken on this project before, or helpful tips on pulling it off.

@mitzimeow here is a link to “dye” for reference. Been done a few times here with quite a few threads to read through.

@goosehd I've taken a look through these, but no one seems to be throwing any jeans into the pot, mostly just tshirts and shoes. Thought it was worth asking to get more specific info, but thanks for the pointer.

@Nik has some experience overdying his jeans in the washing machine. From memory, he did a pair of 888S-21 with a grey dye.

P.S. I figured out how to find his posts about it. Do an advanced search, you can filter for "Nik" as the user, and search for "smoke grey" in posts.

The extractor shoulder dimensions come in very very small relative to almost everything else Iron Heart produces. Is there a stylistic reason for it? A production issue? Iron Heart is so good about making products that fit well with everything else they produce, but this product seems to be an extreme outlier.

Figured I'd ask this here so as not to clog up the specific product link. It would be awesome to see the dimensions for other type 3 jackets replicated with the extractor.

As far as im aware there is no real reason, The Extractor was a very very limited run we only got 5 pieces, we might of just been very unlucky that the ones we got was slightly smaller then normal, normally when we do create any sort of sizing chart we measure 2 of every size to create the sizing charts but we only got 1 in some sizes.
