As planned I swapped my 12 mini for the new pro. I’m happy. I’d prefer the size of the mini, but the pro has a nice feel, wonderfull screen and the camera (the reason i bough it) is amazing. The controls are a bit fidegety, not the photos I can get with it are brilliant.

I just preordered the Macbook Air M5. Should be arriving this Friday. I had the first run of MBA back when they dropped, which was a decade or more ago. Looking forward to being able to browse the forum on an actual computer again and not just my phone. Anyone else interested in one? I chose the sky blue because of course I did.

@Oaktavia MBA M5 should be a real solid machine/value. I could do most of what I do on a MBA, but went all out (back in the day) with M3 Max. I'm just trying to prevent the purchasing of Neo's here at work as 8GB of memory won't work well for the 20+ Chrome tabs I see people running. /s

I have a M2 Pro mini for home stuff and for running Plex server on, I also have a MacBook M4 Pro for work. Both doing me fine for now.

@Oaktavia Did you have the M1 version before? If you had the intel version pre M1, the M1 chip really changed everything... they're really amazing, I use a M4 air and love it just about all my online activities.

Got a Macbook Air for the kid as she's in her final year of GCSE's before A-Levels. Currently looking at the new Macbook Pro's and flirting with the idea, trying to justify it (mainly as Im sick of Windows). I have a Dell 4k touch-screen, great tech but less said about the OS the better.

I use a MacBook Pro for work and it has made my working hours exponentially better. The Apple keyboard and Magic Mouse are great too. Being able to do swipe gestures to shift between virtual desktops on the mouse is one example of game changing productivity.
I don’t personally miss the touch screen but rumor has it they will be adding that soon.

Went into apple Few months back cuz my AirPod pro 2s were acting weird, got brand new ones with my apple care for free. Of course they got me and my wife, on phones lol. Apple had the new phones out on the wait area table, So I upgraded my 13 pro for the 17. I gotta say it’s a really good phone for a base model. Alot better than years prior. Lots of storage, decent camera, runs really smooth. Was thinking the 17pro but I don’t really use my phone enough(actually tryna be on it less) to justify the price tag. Also the trade from my 13pro was really good, and new phone every 4yrs isn’t too bad. Just this weekend, went and got the base iPad($349 with student discount, aka free California sales tax) for real estate class been taking. I was using my wife’s MacBook Pro when she wasn’t using it for her last semester of grad school. Gotta say It’s such a game changer, was able get so much work done last few days. I haven’t had an iPad since the 2nd generation, maybe the 1st? So Learning all the new tips and tricks, perfect for everything use interwebs for, or watching YouTube/Netflix etc on trips. It’s really cool see the forum on bigger screen than my phone. Also just made the forum a Ap on my Home Screen, old dog leaning new tricks. Picked up a great pen and leather case on Amazon for way cheaper than Apple charges. Very happy on this purchase and can always upgrade if do end up using it more for real estate etc

@anodyne awesome, glad to hear that. I was reading a lot about different models on Reddit. I was about to order an M4 last week but saw the M5 was dropping tomorrow. So, by chance, I was able to catch the newer one.
@Jord I had the OG like first ever run they put out. Not sure exactly tbh. And haha, I look forward to seeing everyone's fades on a larger screen! But thanks

Got the Duo on Friday and overall very happy. Coming from a pro max size phone, it fits so much better in pockets. Especially tight jean ones!!
Already managed to get indigo stain on my case
.Definitely a gen 1 product and time will tell about durability and usefulness. One minor nitpick is it won’t charge wirelessly in my car, folded or not.
But having it fold out to a mini iPad sort of blows my mind.
Now is it worth forgoing that khaki tanker jacket? Time will tell

@Chibs the lack of Face ID was a show stopper for me. Maybe next years.

@1WayTrip Yea, I totally get that. Touch ID works well for me and if wearing an Apple Watch it just unlocks automatically.

the down side of the duo was the lack of the third camera and prores/raw photo formats.
