Jordanscollected’s Hobby Farm

[jordanscollected]

Welcome the newest addition to Nightshade Farm.

My wife has always wanted a Dalmatian. This guy is 9 weeks old and has been a gem so far.

Dalmatians were bred to run along side of carriages and protect horses, hence why they have association with Fireman, as the first fire/water wagons were pulled by horses.

No name yet. Yes I’ve cleaned up pee and am angry about it.

Absolutely adorable! Enjoy falling under his spell!

@jordanscollected holy shit he is cute!

[jordanscollected]

On our trail ride today we came across thousands of butterflies. There were multiple sections of the ride like this one.

[Mizmazzle]

@jordanscollected incredible!

[Giles]

Fabulous....

[SKT]

@jordanscollected that’s so cool…were they Monarchs?

[jordanscollected]

@SKT yes. They must be migrating because we’ve seen some over the summer, but this was wild numbers.

[jordanscollected]

Me: we’re too busy let’s not add anything else to the farm, especially before winter.

Allie: I got offered a free horse!

So meet Petey, an 18 year old Arab former show horse.

Bonus pic of Remy

[SKT]

@jordanscollected hi Petey!

Also, farms leave you wide open to the accumulation of animal friends!

[Aetas]

@jordanscollected Is it an AngloArabian?
We had some in the family. Love their character and hot-blooded behavior, even when they’re 17.

[jordanscollected]

@SKT yes it does. We were just offered 5 hens yesterday from someone selling their farm.

[jordanscollected]

@Aetas I’ll check his papers. He has a high tail prance and moves so light on his feet compared to Nola and Beau. We will let them out together for the first time today. I won’t be home but my wife will video the action.

[jordanscollected]

Our herd is now 3. Beau is being protective/territorial of Nola and keeping Petey at a safe distance. That includes pinning his ears back and chasing him around. They all 3 together met up with neighbors horses this evening.
