@Jord I try to keep it at 0 as well. Same routine as @goosehd pretty much. I’ll check every now and then throughout the day and try to have read everything before I go to bed. And thank you for the kind words

i know they're listed as dry clean only, but has anyone washed their fox bros wool shirts before? if so, how did you wash it and what happened?

@pechelman not a direct answer but I have a 298 (also wool but not Fox Bros) and have had success using the “dry steam” cycle on my washing machine. It avoids wetting the wool (and any shrinkage) but keeps everything fresh without the hassle of going to the dry cleaner. If you don’t have that cycle I guess you could blast it with steam from an iron.

@pechelman I also don't have a fox Brothers flannel yet but I have a few wool items. I would recommend hand washing with cool to Luke warm water and a wool safe detergent like Eucalin. I would also steer clear of the drying machine and air dry.

Agitation is what shrinks wool stuff so hand wash and line dry is your best bet. With an undershirt a wool shirt (or jumper) should rarely need washing anyway.

copy this everyone, thanks. I've got a few 100% wool shirts too and usually play it safe and dry clean them or never clean them (hah!) but I'm more curious as to if anyone has lived dangerously, either by mistake or intent, and just chucked it in the wash as to how it went.

@Darth-fader If you're looking at the 9oz selvedge models, it's a tricky one, as what you're after would sit right between the straight and slim-tapered styles (just like the 666 does).

It will, of course, vary for different body types/tag sizes — but for myself, wearing a tag 33 or 34 and hemmed to around 30" (losing some of the taper), I'd say the slim-tapered would be closest, compared to the fuller fit and higher rise of the straight cut. Others may disagree, though!
