@Aetas LCD are like a tossed salad of all the good stuff.

They create all that electronic music sound, but it’s a fully analogue production. Just incredible how many instruments each band member plays and how they move through the maze of their stage set up.

Is anyone else listening to the new Mastodon album?

It’s a great album overall and I’ve really been enjoying so far. The new lead guitarist is great and did a really amazing job on this record.

However, it goes without saying that this album is missing a certain flavor that we’ll never get back. RIP Brent.

Slayer show with Down, Suicidal Tendencies and Hatebreed. Production quality for the Slayer set was over the top with insane visuals and pyrotechnics, great energy and a few large mosh pits around the venue. Down had the most moving set I think personally, Phil’s vocals and Peppers guitar was just so good. The lead singer for Suicidal Tendencies got into the pit for one of their songs and it felt like high school all over again.

This track also makes the average Ramones song seem long.

@jdwaid Sounds like a hell of a show! Down is one of my favorite bands. Better than Pantera IMO.

@Bridger I once (i want to say somewhere around 2009-2011 or so) went to Edinburgh at the end of October for a Cannibal Corpse show with Dying Fetus opening. Mostly went for Fetus as I had seen CC a load of times before but never Fetus..

Halloween is not a thing in Germany so it wasn't at all on my radar, but it very much is in Scotland. The show was great, but it was made extra memorable because more than half of the audience was in costume. Super fun night.

Oh, and bad names.. Song 5 on Killing on Adrenaline is particularly disturbing..

@WithBongInHand I hadn’t listened to Down much since their second album, and this show reawakened my appreciation for the band. I’ve been playing them non stop since the ride home and exploring what they’ve produced since Down II. Phil mentioned they have a new album coming out soon which I’m excited for. I also didn’t know they had a 3LP live album, I’m going to try a find a copy of it.

Picked up this autographed poster at the show, signed by all the current members of the band. We were the last stop on their current tour.
