I am now giving them the first try on - to @Denimhead-0 's point - how do you even do the buttons!? I have done 2 and that will do for today!!!

A little button hole TLC with a pair of needle nose pliers is my method.

Curious on the initial soak and wash instructions found here: https://ironheart.co.uk/pages/product-care-guidlines

Why do the instructions call for drip drying your UHR after the initial soak and then washing? Why not soak and then straight to washing without first drying? I assume there's reasoning behind this but I'm too dense to pick up on it.

@will6er as odd as it seems the best thing I have found for "adjusting" the button holes is a ring sizer wand.

To loosen up the button holes I've always just used the cap end of a Sharpie marker and wiggle it around. Has worked perfectly for me.

Thanks all- I am in the game with working buttons. I reckon 9 hours of wear and can do the fly, its softish and can see slight honeycombs.... They are too small for me but I knew that and I WILL break them.

Hi guys. I got mine through the process of soaking and the first wash. I was wondering do you guys start wearing the jeans while they are still damp or should I let it dry out completely?

I can resist anything but temptation.

I was kinda intimidated by UHR after reading about their alleged tough break-in. But these things are easier out the gate than any of the IH 25oz pairs I’ve broken in and honestly not much difference from the 21oz.

Giving my first pair of 666 a try in UHR. To be fair, these will probably get tried on and then parked for awhile, way too much in the heavy weight rotation that needs love. But I have been wanting to try a pair of 666 and didn't want to miss getting a pair of these in UHR especially with those measurements looking spot on for me.

For those who where both 666 and 888 cuts. Do you find the thigh & knee measurements carry over exactly the same or can you wear a smaller thigh size in 666 with a similar fit. Wondering how the lower rise affects the thigh fit.

@Denimhead-0 thanks! What about the thigh? How does the rise affect the thighs? I'm guessing the fit can feel different in the thighs because of the lower rise? Meaning can you fit a smaller thigh measurement in the 666 or do you try to match what you have in 888?

I personally find the thighs a bit bigger on the 888’s than the 666’s.

Hey what do you guys think of this fit? I picked a pair of 888 UHRs up and love them. Tried these out. It feels great. I'm surprised because I thought they would be too tight, but the thighs feel perfect. I definitely would not go a smaller size. The thighs would be way too small. The waist band is kind of floating on my waist, not snug but not excessively loose either. If I were in 888s I'd pass if the waist was like that but the top block and thighs seem slim enough that it seems ok. I'm familiar with uhr so I know this is how they'll end up.
