Post soak w a couple dims
Pre/post soak
Waist - 34 / 32.5
Thigh - 12.25 / 12
Knee - 9 / 8.75
Hem -8.75 / 8.25
Length - 36.5 / 35About as tight as I can go. Waist is already loosening up after an hour wear and some stretching.

@Denimhead-0
1.75” 1.5” shrink in the waist? More than I would expect but always possible. What was your method for soaking/washing? -
@goosehd 1 hour warm soak, followed by washing maching, removed before spin, then hung overnight. I’m wear now, so will post waist again as they are loosening up already. I was suprised by the inseam as well.
-
I suspect they may be perfect, aside from the Thigh after some hard wear.
-
@Denimhead-0 Inseam looks pretty normal…the waist would be outside of the normal. Did you mean .75” shrinkage from 34 to 33.25?
-
@goosehd I measured 17” presoak, 16.25” post. Could be user error

-
@Denimhead-0 user error here and I should have posted 1.5” instead of 1.75”. Need to put my hearing spectacles on…
Going to pour a cup of coffee now.
….
I had no idea that hearing spectacles were really a thing…Laura and I have joked about one of us not being able to see or hear and that the other needed to put them on.They are real…
-
@goosehd No worries, I will update post wear. I don’t want to unbutton for a couple hours…my thumb is too sore

-
Finally earned my U-Wings. These are hard work and I salute those of you who have gone down this route... The whole thing is an ordeal: rough as stone pre soak I did a presoak try on and broke a sweat. Even turning them inside out was hard, hanging took about 15 pegs (I need better pegs). I am now giving them the first try on - to @Denimhead-0 's point - how do you even do the buttons!? I have done 2 and that will do for today!!!
Sizing - they were smaller than I wanted but rolled the dice. They are the lowest I could go and I am hoping to stretch slightly beyond originally.
: 1 hr soak / 30 degrees quick wash / no spin and line dry. I imagine there is some shrinkage to go as I did it for a short while but I will have to take that out another time and to hell with it... Before / After on a tag size 36:
Waist 37.8 > 36.8
Thigh 13 > 12.6
Knee 9.5 > 9 (9.1 maybe)
Inside Leg 36.5 > 35.1
Front Rise 12.2 > 11.8
Back 14.7 >14.2Also new to 666. Its tighter / slimmer throughout than I expected. More 555 than 684 at 1st glance. Like the cut though.
Update... < 24hrs later. Wore a couple of hours last night and maybe 6-7 today. All measurements at prewash (some a bit bigger). Suspect they will go further.
The Denim is like double heavy weight 14oz IH denim in some ways. I think I prefer it to the 21oz stuff.

A little button hole TLC with a pair of needle nose pliers is my method.

Curious on the initial soak and wash instructions found here: https://ironheart.co.uk/pages/product-care-guidlines
Why do the instructions call for drip drying your UHR after the initial soak and then washing? Why not soak and then straight to washing without first drying? I assume there's reasoning behind this but I'm too dense to pick up on it.
-
@will6er as odd as it seems the best thing I have found for "adjusting" the button holes is a ring sizer wand.
-
@dirtyframer drum sticks work as well…
-
@goosehd I never thought of those!! My middle son has drum sticks laying around every nook in the house
-
To loosen up the button holes I've always just used the cap end of a Sharpie marker and wiggle it around. Has worked perfectly for me.
-
Thanks all- I am in the game with working buttons. I reckon 9 hours of wear and can do the fly, its softish and can see slight honeycombs.... They are too small for me but I knew that and I WILL break them.
-
@bob_z I wait til they are fully dry to avoid “knee pockets” or “knee bags”.
