I’m definitely interested in that dry waxed Townes.

I feel bad when a SJ whatever doesn’t fit me or I’m not crazy about it. But the truth is if you don’t love something you’re not going wear it and what’s the point? I’d rather pass it on to somebody that can really enjoy it and for the record I lost a dollar on the transaction. Hopefully that’s OK for the SJ diehards.

@Northman I had teh same thought with one that popped up on ebay recently. i have the waxed, broken twill and kiroki ramblin jackets.....not sure the wills would be different enough to fit into a rotation at that point..... also very high key hoping the collab is a 21 oz IH denim wills or a 21 oz guthrie pant

@roydub87 Personally I doubt it will use the 21oz denim because of the recent talk of how the mill that makes the 21oz can't keep up with current demand. Even IH themselves have said that reruns of popular items like the 805 overalls are not in the pipeline because they can't get the fabric. Seems unlikely they would stop making their own products and give them fabric up for a collab.

@Brock Maybe. Do you think the denim will be different and thicker than the Ramblins broken twill? Looks like it's going to have a beefy zipper maybe.

I have no idea. It’ll probably be a Japanese selvedge. The one I have is a 17oz kuroki mills I think

Don’t know why, but kind of looks heavier then many of the 15oz they have used throughout different jackets.
I would not say slubby, but ever so slightly more “texture” then the lighter fabrics if you zoom in.. haha don’t know. Just overthinking here

@mecken88 I noticed that the buttons are not the heavy ones thats used on the wax wills and kinda similar to the ones on the Ramblins pockets.

I love the front of the wills jacket. Really love it in denim even more than the waxed canvas. I’m not a fan of the back of the jacket. Don’t like the lower panel. Wish it had the same back as the Ramblin.

Just my lil ol opinion though.

If you’re on the fence and have the funds, I would say it’s a no brainer. This denim Wills jacket is so special and would be a treat to own!

Iv blown my fund for a while with the Kristofferson on the horizon, the new Ramblin jacket and I’m waiting on the restock for a pair of black engineers hopefully any day now. So I will not be trying on this Wills.

But if I could, I absolutely would!
And for those that gonna give it a go, I’m jealous and I’m rooting for you!🫶

Thanks to a nice gentleman in Reddit I was able to snag a only washed and tried on sashiko ori townes!! it's a 2XL so a little relaxed but tbh I really like the fit. Only the length is a problem, that I will sort out with a hemming soon.

Now I was thinking, do I need to give it another hot wash or just wear it once it's hemmed? The sleeves are a little wide still, not to a point that it would annoy me much but still. Pics:
