Oh man - I’ve been debating this one. Might be too late, but how’s the fit? Is it a work shirt boxy fit or more streamlined?

Not too boxy, however runs larger then most Samurai’s. I wanted 2xl, however could only find 3xl. Going to shrink it a bit.

@Denimhead-0 Another unsurprisingly beautiful fabric from Samurai. I got one of the elemental flannels recently in the workshirt cut and love it. It's heavier than a IH UHF and drapes incredibly well. Will share some photos eventually.

Back home from vacation and had these waiting for me. First pair of samurai jeans and loving the fabric. They offered it in one wash or raw and I opted for the raw! Working on my uhr and xhsib so these will be put away for now…. Maybe lol

Love the Samurai 25oz (have it in both jeans and a type I jacket). Quite different from IH 25oz. A looser weave with a very different feel. Less tight/stiff/hardcore than the IH 25oz. One of my absolute favourite denims.

@JunkPants always wanted that 25oz type 1 from them. Yea the fabric is so nice with a little bit of slub and the detail are crazy through out the Jean. The only thing I’m worried about is I kinda went down on the size then I normally would get from Ih. They fit perfect now so hopefully they don’t shrink to much

@IrishHeart regarding your question on the chinos: Only got them yesterday so haven’t worn them yet beyond trying them on. In terms of weight and heft similar to the SJ42CP. Fabric has some character to it but not as prominent as the orslow sateen for example. Some detail comparison shots:

@Tago-Mago those photos are more helpful to me than you can imagine, as I was also considering the SJ42CP.
Based on your first impressions, do you have a preference between the two.

@IrishHeart if you have the opportunity to try them on that would be ideal. The olive is slightly slimmer and has a shorter inseam, but that may be a feature of this individual item (except the inseam, I’d expect that to be similar across all pieces). Fabrics are different obviously, but the sateen feels less rigid, though I’d expect the material on the khakis to soften up with wear and wash. Ultimately, I suppose the question is which colour do you prefer?

To note, I’m approx 6‘3“/190cm and the inseam on the olives is perfect for sneakers. The khakis are the slim/straight model

Edit: unlike the orslow sateen fatigues I would probably not reach for either samurai chinos at 25°C

I was considering them as a 3 season chino as I recently bought the IH747 8oz baker pants for the summer which I love and haven’t taken off since I received them.

                                        Thanks again for your feedback.
