@jmp777 the rain delay had me turn in after the co-main, but i watched the main even t this morning. What a win for JG. ilia had never been tested like that. Quitting on the stool is more humbling than a KO in my opinion.

And Perriera looked so sluggish I hope he moves back down and stays there. I’m not a big fan of his fighting style anyhow, I actually think his wins are overrated even though he holds 2 belts. He learned a lesson last night. No Chama.

Also, we have seen the last of Chandler and Lewis I hope for their sake.

Gane - for the questionable elbows and hammer fists - is legit. Aspinall did not look good against him prior to the eye drama. Love Alex P, but he did get touched up before those illegal punches. Was always an Izzy fanboy but Chama got me on his side. Should go back down to light heavyweight.

Thought the main event was WILD. Ilia wasn't on it, looked tiny in the octagon and Justin - all heart and violence - got that gold for all his box office fights in the past. Topuria's face was something. Would love to see a rematch, but part of me wants Justin to retire - perfect ending for him. The way Justin pulls fighters into his messy world has always been tremendous entertainment.

@Nick looking forward to the next big main event, I am extremely disappointed in the UFC for booking McGregor for another fight. He hasn’t fought in 5 years.

He’s beyond the hype and has a horrible reputation as a person.

We all saw how unpredictable mma results are last night, but my money is firmly on McGregor gassing halfway through the first and getting tko’d in round 1 or 2.

            Thoroughly enjoyed the whole card.

I wanna see Ilia face the winner of Paddy/BSD before a rematch is considered. Ruffy can have the loser as it'd still be a step up for him (and potentially an opportunity avenge to avenge his loss to St Denis).

Arman should face Gaethje at the start of next year if he doesn't retire. Can only ignore the rightful number one contender for so long without it becoming a farce...

I had to watch recaps today thanks to that horrible Sunday night timing... I was surprised that Gaethje was able to make a comeback after round 2, Ilya just gassed out and couldn't finish him. Respectable to throw in the towel, it was a good fight but save some for another day, getting rocked by that right threw him, but that knee ended it. Probably broke some ribs.

@jordanscollected Good chance McGregor doesn't make the fight, would expect the UFC to have someone else lined up. Apparently he's sleeping at his fight camp. But can't see how an inactive fighter with recreational 'habits' can be taken seriously. Fight wont last more than 30 seconds.

The whole card is stacked, but I'm looking forward to Paddy/BSD the most. Such a difficult fight to call, but I have Paddy by decision.

I think Paul would accept an MMA fight on MVP after last nights 'performance'.

I struggle to find sympathy for the guy given his past indiscresisons, but from an objective standpoint the whole thing is like a greek tragedy...

Hubris, greed and ego kept him in the game longer than the body he continuously abused could handle, and now the only big payday he can hope for as a 'sportsman' is being served up as a sacrificial lamb for somebody that would have once been considered so many leagues below him.

I have no doubt he'll continue to make millions, but I don't think it will offset the cost that this setback will have had on his soul...

I wasn’t rooting for him or against him. He was a beast of a fighter in his prime and put on a good show. Mega charisma. My sympathy for him is based on the effort he put into making it there only to take himself out with the first move.

I try not to judge entertainment performers on anything other than their performances. Unless I have personal interactions with someone, it’s not my place to criticize. Conor’s entertainment value has been tops.

I wasn't actively following the sport during his come up and prime, but of course he was always on my radar as a sportsman and cult figure.

There was a part of me that hoped he'd pull of a miracle yesterday so could I could experience a fraction of the hype I'm sure you guys felt back in his heyday with the potential of them building towards a fight with Islam, but after what happened, I think fans are just gonna have move on from the idea of what they hoped he could be again.

I hope he manages to find peace, stay sober and gracefully move into whatever chapter comes next in life for him.
