This is more of a rant but I don’t want to see bands without their major players. Queen with that other dude. G&R without Axl. I don’t even fuck with Pixies without Kim Deal. Some bands I accept have rotating members but it’s like going to a basketball game to see LeBron and he stayed home. Even if they win it’s not what I went for.

Now that you mention it I would also concede that AC/DC is still AC/DC without Bon Scott and just as good. As with most things I say and think they are not written in stone.

@Matt AC/DC are the exception that prove the rule. I am 1000% with you on Queen with that new guy. The only other singer I would have wanted for Queen is George Michael. He would have been great

I guess it comes down to who you think the heart of a band is. Some players are replaceable, others not so much. And of course it’s subjective.

I saw Master Peace last night in a small 150 capacity venue. He was awesome and knows how to rock a crowd. I feel he will blow up (aka Little Simz).

Saw the Claypool Gold tour tonight. What a great concept. Les Claypool touring with three of his bands at once Frog Brigade ,Claypool Lennon Delirium and Primus!
I was really impressed with Sean's playing and the Delirium did a cover Astronomy Domine which was fantastic!!

Then Primus closed the show with so many songs that colored my high school and young adult years. I don't know how I had never seen them live. Les is like an elder statesmen at this point. What a great experience.

Unfortunately, the band is overshadowed by the rowdy audience in this vid, but I really want to pogo into the harbour......
