Another Widow’s Bay fan here. Love it.
Reminds me of a Charlie Parker novel by John Connolly.

Is there anyone else who also loves David Lynch's voice and way of speaking?
Bit late to this. Love Lynch and as for Twin Peak, it's one of my all time favourites. Was obsessed when it was first televised here in the UK. Lynch and Frost's vision was disrupted by the TV network - and often in season 2 a lot of what you see wasn't something they were involved in - until the final 6 eps of season 2. Then that essential lore kicks into the max and is the basis for what happens in The Return.
Although as stated already, The Return is NOTHING like the original tv series. It's at times brilliant, sometimes astonishingly frustrating. Almost like Lynch did the opposite of what was expected of him.
Fire Walk with Me is fantastic too. Defo watch that before The Return.

I tried Twin Peaks after hearing a few of you saying how much you loved it.
Nah, did not resonate one little bit. I think maybe, it was of its time. I did not do Star Wars when it/they was/were originally released. When I met Paula who loved it, she "made" me watch it. Fuck, it was dated crap. Lasted about 30 mins, and then never again.
I struggled with Breaking Bad, but did last a few eps, then gave up.
Not to give up my mission to find something seminal that I had missed when originally released, I watched The Sopranos a couple of years ago, and loved it. But never made it to the end.
Go figure.....

I was a big fan of Twin Peaks back then. But that was 1991. I still love it but I guess that's a bit nostalgic...

I was actually new to twin peaks a few weeks ago and I instantly fell in love with the first season. I love awkwardness. However, the second season let me down very hard after episode six.

One of the reasons I gave it a go....

I usually have great taste ;).

There's no connection to Twin Peaks here and it's a really random observation, but I guess that's what this threat is about: I just realised that both my Seiko SKX are more than twenty years old. They've never had a service but they still run with the same +15sek/day . That's some seriously good watchmaking!

@Giles what do you watch now then? or what genre are you into?
