@RobeOfTheMagi I see Twin Peaks brought you on the right path!

-
@tody It really did! I've just started with season two; it's not as strong as the first one, but still great!
-
@Matt Got the whole family hooked on Widows Bay.
-
@Denimhead-0 Best show on TV, right now.
-
@Denimhead-0 excellent.
-
@Matt I disliked Patricia at first and now she’s my favorite character. Deserves awards especially for this most recent episode. Such a great mix of laughter and terror.
“Give me $20 on pump 2”!!!

Legends - Netflix
Brilliant acting, superbly written, very British.
Would be interested to hear if non-Brits enjoy it/get it/like it.
I watched it on the way to Tokyo a few weeks ago, and rewatched it with @Madame-Buttonfly this last few nights. It is almost better watching it the second time, I found myself concentrating more on the dialogue, which I found compelling......
I loved Mylonas....

I watched that last week during taining and really liked it. Old shool british stuff, and fortunately not over the top like Guy Ritchie would have done it.
Currently half way through Harry Hole, also a bit different from the usual scandinavian stuff, plus it comes with a great soundtrack.

Another Widow’s Bay fan here. Love it.
Reminds me of a Charlie Parker novel by John Connolly.

@RobeOfTheMagi said in Random conversations:
Is there anyone else who also loves David Lynch's voice and way of speaking?
Bit late to this. Love Lynch and as for Twin Peak, it's one of my all time favourites. Was obsessed when it was first televised here in the UK. Lynch and Frost's vision was disrupted by the TV network - and often in season 2 a lot of what you see wasn't something they were involved in - until the final 6 eps of season 2. Then that essential lore kicks into the max and is the basis for what happens in The Return.
Although as stated already, The Return is NOTHING like the original tv series. It's at times brilliant, sometimes astonishingly frustrating. Almost like Lynch did the opposite of what was expected of him.
Fire Walk with Me is fantastic too. Defo watch that before The Return.
