@Alexander looking great! Always regretting sleeping on the restock of these. Oh well. I keep my fingers crossed that someday we'll get a black selvedge version of the 1955, either the 21oz SBG or the 14 oz bb. Or shit, any other fabric in the 1955 in the next year or two would be righteous

@welfare_burrito While they will certainly be back, they aren't in production currently - although 1955 cut jeans in other denims are in the pipeline

Bought these from @Giles because he was cleaning out his collection. If I remember correctly, these were the OG 1955 prototype or something (notice the AERO patch and the unconventional pocket arcs). Worn for 2 years—the 1955 is my favorite Iron Heart cut by a mile right now. Sending them back to Gosport for a quick repair, and then they'll be right back on my legs.

@Giles I believe I remember you saying once that Haraki was originally not a huge fan of the 1955 cut because it didn't feel as original of an IH cut to him. Did he eventually change his mind? Is the 1955 being introduced into more cuts just an outside Japan thing? Sorry if you've already addressed this before.

He has nothing against the cut per se, but he does dislike it as an Iron Heart cut, and he has not changed his mind. Everything to do with the 1955 was originally driven by me, and now Alex. The 1955 is being made in a few different denims (all initiated by Alex), and it is highly unlikely they will go on sale in Japan

Fascinating... I'm endlessly entertained by the Japan/UK dynamic. Thank you Giles and Alex for pushing to get this cut a much wider rollout, it's a pretty badass cut!

Someone may correct me if i’m wrong, but i feel like the 1955was a fairly slow seller in the early days. Perhaps it will fare better now there’s been a shift in popularity away from very slim styles and towards straight or more roomy cuts.
