IH-831-BRN - 10oz Herringbone Painter’s Pants - Brown
-
@SamD thanks, makes sense, and the linked post confirms my understanding (although I would be hard pressed to spot any difference in the cut between wide and painters pants in the comparative photo)

-
@Tobi Agree, there's not a huge difference visually, but there's enough to feel it — just a touch wider through the leg profile. We've got the samples here in the office, so I took a couple more snaps that might be more useful.
L-R: Wide pants (tag 34), Painters (tag 34), 634 (tag 33). Samples are unhemmed.

@SamD thanks for the info!

Heu, is there any stretch at the waist, or do you go true to size?
Thanks
-
@tvaillant75 it is a twill fabric and should stretch. Possibly 2-3 cm’s with time and wear.
-
@Nick Awesome shots. Would it be a pain to ask to include what size the models are wearing in pics like these?
-
@Stringthing75 Tag 34
-
@AdamJ awesome ta. Really helpful.
-
@ShopatIronHeart Will the equivalent brown baker pants be available in tag sizes 28 & 29?
-
@John-Galt we ordered some, but we ordered some in the other pants you. messaged us and they were not delivered, so we can only tell you for sure once we recieve deliveries
-
The inseam for this in tag 36 seems to be a unusual 34" (the Indigo version is at 35"). I get most pants hemmed at 33.5", but wonder if a 0.5" hemming is even possible or meaningful. I guess I could live with 34 if it is really not longer...
-
@Tobi We can absolutely check the inseam and add hemming after - feel free to add a note to your order and we'll be in touch! That said, we can definitely hem them by 0.5", only thing to be mindful of is that you might just be able to see the previous stitch line on the inside of the hem if it is just the half inch we're hemming.

@Alex thanks - good to know. I don’t need both the painters and Bakers and my preference is the Bakers. I was hoping the Bakers would hit first, but luck would have it that it’s opposite. I could order and stack the painter till the Bakers arrived to insure the small sizes, but prefer not to tie up a pair of pants in the stack that IH could sell if there is a good chance of getting the Bakers. So fingers crossed that the brown Bakers come in the size 28 and 29 or that a 29 in the painter is still available later if not. Thus, thanks for the info and I’ll hold off on the order to stack.

@Vik thanks! Still undecided between brown and indigo anyways
