First wear in the LBs today!
Thank you again for passing these along to me @tody, they are my best fitting pair of IH pants.The 666 is my favorite cut, and these are absolutely perfect in the waist. My understanding is that this fabric doesn’t stretch or shrink much, so I am elated with the fit. Probably going to keep these on ice for the summer and plan to rage them this fall/winter.
Really amazing fabric, loving this deep indigo color. Debating whether or not to put a small cuff on these to show off this incredible selvedge ID… thoughts?

@SourPower they don’t like to be cuffed and will make holes at the point you cuff them. If you don’t mind holes and potential failure at some point, then I would say to cuff them. I hemmed them to length which is sacrilegious to some, but I wanted to wear this as long as I possibly could.
If you leave them a bit on the longer side, they will stack beautifully.

@goosehd thanks for your input, I definitely agree that cuffs will likely result in a blow out… Big stacking potential was my thought as well, I usually hem on the more conservative side but these could yield some amazing results at their current length. Time will tell!

I plan to cuff mine, but Dennis does make a good point. I think a repaired blowout via darning will just add character, so I'm going to see how it goes. Stacking also is an awesome option, ideally a little of both. I will have to try mine on and see how they fall. Anyway, stoked you have a pair!!! Even with the rerelease of the double indigo duck, these are not on the table and are special in that regard (to say the least).

I can confirm the duck gets abrasion holes over time from cuffing. I had mine repaired in the back. I also got a hole where my phone had the most pressure when sitting, and over time at the top of the pocket bags (repaired in tonal color).
I also wanted to show off the unique selvedge I.D.

Exactly the point, but you need to be aware what you’re walking in to. Thinking that a pair will remain pristine to realize that they have their own characteristics which some would say are flaws or benefits needs to be understood beforehand. How many people buy lefties to only realize that they hate leg twist…

Hell to the yeah! I’m going to commit to not carrying my phone in my pocket for these and start carrying my Y’2 fanny pack more often. It’s a bad but convenient habit that I’m hoping the LBs will break…

100% Giles told me that it would be impossible to find a pair, and scoring a like-new pair over a decade after release felt like harpooning Moby Dick!

@jordanscollected repairs and the fades look so sick! Can't wait for DD re-release. Agree with the sentiments about the embracing of imperfection. The whole point of this heritage world to me is that the clothing looks more interesting and characterful with age. Seeing some of the repairs on this forum is inspiring to take that aging journey further than the average person would too! Is the cuff abrasion something that happens with the 25oz denim?
