We spent day two in Venice at the Biennale, a cultural exhibition with an amazing history dating back to the 19th century. All kinds of exhibits (paintings, sculptures, performances, installations, ect), from various countries. I found some moving, some funny, but some things were also beyond my reach. Nevertheless, a lovely day.
Here are a few of my favorites.

Back in the bus at the end. That's where it's most beautiful.

My personal Vermeer, if you will.

@endo
amazing journey
maybe you should create Iron Tours and work as a tour guide for the Iron Heart Army
I would definitely book a trip!! -
That would be 3rd generation. My grandfather (who lived on Stromboli Island) organized tours to Iran, among other places, in the 50s and 60s, and my father, after retiring as a pastor, he led groups to Italy, Asia Minor, and the Levant. I have actually done something like this before for a group of friends—to Israel. So, who knows? That might still happen.

@endo truly miss Venice

Today we visited Padua, home to one of the oldest universities in the world (founded in 1222).

Galilei and Copernicus, Andreas Vesalius and William Harvey, among others, taught here (awesome academic name-dropping).

This is the lectern from which Galilei gave his lectures.

Unfortunately, we couldn't visit the Scrovegni Chapel with Giottos frescoes because we hadn't booked tickets in advance. Darn, but I'll come back sometime.

(not my foto)
But now it‘s time for wine & pasta. Salute!

Camp endo has moved and we‘re now in the Laguna die Grado near the Gulf of Trieste on a small campside on it‘s own little island (Isola del Paradiso, sic!).

(not my foto, obviously)
Going to have a few relaxed days and skipped our plans for the Alps due to weather conditions up there.
