@don_pipone I remember back before i knew what rope-dyeing was, or even what the concept of selvedge/raw/heavyweight denim was, I'd see the rare random dude in the mall with a heavily faded pair of jeans with combs like this and was bewildered by them. I had only known that if jeans were faded, it's because they were designed that way, it was a 'wash' or a 'distressed' pair. I didn't understand the process or how they could be so '3D'. I definitely didn't realize at that time that they were made with time and wear, and that you couldn't just go buy them like so. It took years to find out. Now... I sometimes (rarely) get complimented on my "acid wash" jeans. LOL. If people ask where I got them or how much the cost, I usually tell them "Just google raw denim".

I know exactly what you mean - happened to me too. As much as I love talking about raw denim all day, it is kind of exhausting with someone who doesn't know diddly squat about it. Most of the time it ends up with explaining myself, why I am spending that much on jeans and such. So usually I try to avoid it, as long as I am not 100% certain the other person is open for that.
During the first years in the "game" my wife often mentioned my "300€" jeans or shirt in front of others that don´t know better. Eventually I begged her to not do that again - socialising has become way more enjoyable since then

These are 777-UHR, so the older version. I think I have somewhere around 500 days in them and about 8 washes - could be more, could be less.
They have become super comfortable, almost sweat pant like. -

If memory serves; didn’t you start the 888s a while before the shirt? If so, it’s wild how quickly the shirt has caught up to the jeans!

@Go-For-Chill Yes I started the UHR 9 months prior to the CPO but I have been wearing them 50:50 with a pair of XHSib. The CPO has been worn more frequently in a shorter amount of time. For reference, the UHR have 282 wears and the CPO has 230.
