Nice too see differing opinions! I've never been able to get on with Merz. Migrated from regular IH 6.5oz tees to Utilitees pretty much solely these days.

@AdamJ 6.5 IH tees are by far my fave....I should probably try the utilities....

I definitely prefer Utilitees as a thinner under tee option. 6.5oz are a better standalone option for me

Late to the party: I have a few Merz 1950s, but I’m in between sizes so they don’t really fit comfortably. Plus, they feel a little thin and flimsy to me. I’ve replaced most of my tees with Samurai 2-paks. Really nice under a shirt but also good to wear by themselves. One thing that could be better is the collar, which could be a little tighter.
Bought my first Whitesville a couple of weeks ago. Initial impression is good, long-term remains to be seen. Slightly longer sleeves and narrower collar than Samurai.
For reference, I took a 7 in Merz, XL in Samurai and XXL in Whitesville

I prefer white t-shirts that feel sturdy but also breathe. I don't want thin stretchy material that conforms to every bump on my body, and I hate shirts that fit different at the end of the day than they did at the beginning due to stretching; BUT I also need it thin enough to comfortably layer and tuck in.

I've tried tees from Wonder Looper, IH, Freenote Cloth, Samurai, and Merz B.

For me, Merz B have been the perfect tee. It's not a 2-pack, but it's worth trying if you haven't before.

@Go-For-Chill what Merz did you find good for you? They make quite a few variations. And good points on desired features of a worthwhile tshirt.

The 2M15 is my current favorite. I also love the 2S14 for the slub texture.

How bad is the shrinkage? It's put me off buying them this far, along with the odd sizing.

I have two of the Merz B Schwanen SCT04 slub pima cotton tees. The length shrunk so much in the first cold wash they had to be relegated to pajama shirts. I don't recommend them.

Love my whitesvilles, have all the colors. White and gray fit perfectly. Black and blue slightly smaller length but still dig them. Really enjoy my Merz b (black and white) as well but afraid rock them at work, don’t wanna mess them up, coffee bleach stains etc. So more weekend tees and date nights etc. I’m interested in trying some new white tees in the future, so some good info in here.

I had many Merz B Schwanen type 215. but was dissatisfied with the cut. I switched to a 2m15 section and now everything is perfect. The quality is perfect even after about 20 machine washes.
