Not a two pack, but I’m a fan of Ship John’s t shirts. They’re comfy, soft and light but hold up to abuse. I’m very picky on fit of a tshirt too. They’re not too tight on the arms and not too short on the waist. FWIW they’re perfect.

I was disappointed with Whitesville tees because they are too short after washing for my taste. However, the 3Sixteen Pima Tees have held up well with repeated wear and offer a more athletic fit.

No man ever steps in the same denim twice, for it's not the same denim and he's not the same man.

I was also disappointed by whitesville. They have great initial comfort, but not the longevity. I’ve tried a few times, but not for me.

The Red Tornado ones I got from AliExpress are my most worn T006 I think.

For comfort and fit the best I’ve ever owned is RRL. They seem to last for me, and when whitesville is £99 (UK prices) for two and RRL is £120 for two it’s not miles off.

Whitesville at £35 in Japan is different maths.

Broken old houses, boring Scottish whisky, weird Japanese denim, all French wine, sad American music, wool socks in summer.

I was going to try Whitesville but now think I’ll avoid. For heavier T’s I like Wonderlooper and UES but for everyday regular variety I gravitate towards Uniqlo Supima. Way better than they have any business being at that price.

Love my samurai 2 pack after couple years wear. They are clearly undershirts to me though I don’t wear them solo. Super comfy. Not the tightest collar if you care about that. Pretty taut but if you have something heavy that will pull on it, it’s not totally locked in.

Worth saying that if you're wearing them as undershirts only, it's worth a look at Kirkland's 6 packs. Reasonable quality, a good neck and incredibly cheap (£20 odd for 6)

@Daysleepers 99 pounds? Thats crazy. Yeah like you said i got mine for like $62AUD for the two pack. I wouldnt say its worth the 99 pounds. I also saw the UES Ramayana restock recently but its a touch expensive for a tshirt 😞

@cyclops blame The Bear! £99 RRP in the UK. They’re kinda cool shirts, but not £50 tees.

@NickD Ditto this. They are 7.5oz according to Thomas.

Not available in two pack, but as an alternative the RMC "Gussett tees" are just fantasic. Probably my favourite tee (close second is the IH 1600).

Nice too see differing opinions! I've never been able to get on with Merz. Migrated from regular IH 6.5oz tees to Utilitees pretty much solely these days.

I definitely prefer Utilitees as a thinner under tee option. 6.5oz are a better standalone option for me

Late to the party: I have a few Merz 1950s, but I’m in between sizes so they don’t really fit comfortably. Plus, they feel a little thin and flimsy to me. I’ve replaced most of my tees with Samurai 2-paks. Really nice under a shirt but also good to wear by themselves. One thing that could be better is the collar, which could be a little tighter.
Bought my first Whitesville a couple of weeks ago. Initial impression is good, long-term remains to be seen. Slightly longer sleeves and narrower collar than Samurai.
For reference, I took a 7 in Merz, XL in Samurai and XXL in Whitesville

I prefer white t-shirts that feel sturdy but also breathe. I don't want thin stretchy material that conforms to every bump on my body, and I hate shirts that fit different at the end of the day than they did at the beginning due to stretching; BUT I also need it thin enough to comfortably layer and tuck in.

I've tried tees from Wonder Looper, IH, Freenote Cloth, Samurai, and Merz B.

For me, Merz B have been the perfect tee. It's not a 2-pack, but it's worth trying if you haven't before.

The 2M15 is my current favorite. I also love the 2S14 for the slub texture.
