ok I have a technical question about the lasts used on the mister Lous (mainlly because I am OCD as all hell with. the toe shape of my boots). long story short the more I look at images (no wesco dealer nearby) I feel like I am noticing some mister lous with wider toe boxes than others. for example
these seem SIGNIFICANTLY more round and more wide than these

SO am I on drugs or do different lasts produce different toe boxes? I am going for as close as I can get to a cowboy K toe (narrow square toe) and I orderd a pair of these but I am tryign to figire out which last would be best to use if any or if I am just ordering a mister lou and hoping that all the toe boxes are the same and the internet is playing tricks on my eyes ....hopefully that makes sense

At real quick glance I think the top ones are a “boss”

MTO boots with custom sizing could affect the shape a little too

Yeah and it’s quite possible they asked for a rounder toe. That being said all my Mister Lous that I’ve owned have had the same shape toe. I don’t know. I’m not an expert. I’ve had quite a few, but I’m sure somebody is more informed than me.

What is the standard recommendation for sizing Wesco Mr Lous? Half size down and increase width one? So if my brannock is 11.5d, I should look at a 11E?

Apparently they existed! Just wondering if this is a one-off or this was a leather choice. I’ll post back here.

@Ral1121 im a 9.5e Brannock and wear both a 9E and 9.5E in Lous (9E for light socks, 9.5E with heavier).

Id call WESCO and talk to Tenille or Chris, they will point you in the right direction.

@Ral1121 I am a 9.5D Brannock and have 5 pair of Lou’s all size 9E and they all fit well. Each pair varies ever so slightly in fit, but not where I would want to go up to a 9.5E or down a width to a 9D. I have wondered how a 9.5D may fit, but the 9E fits so well that it was never worth the hassle of ordering and then possibly returning if that option were to exist. I do have one pair of the Boss and wear a 9D in that pair.
