Sometimes working really gets in the way of getting things done, had my alarm set for 10:57 EST, snoozed it without even realizing, luckily they were still in stock three minutes past the hour, grabbed a 36W.

Alright, my first UHRs are on the way. Didn't need new jeans at all, but I've patiently waited through 2 restocks since I've been a fan of the brand and couldn't stand the thought of never having a raw unsanforized heavy pair. Will do my soak and get a few wears in before it gets hot, but need to ice for a while to keep working SBGs.

First IH jeans bought direct were the IH-1955-UHR in 2014 for £249 or about $425 at the time. Only IH jeans I ever owned and much later the 634 14oz in black
Buying these is a no-brainer

Awww man seriously debating snag another for the future; tough decision. I’m going back to my UHRs(4 months of wear and looking great) after IIY5. I have pair XHSib for next pair sitting in my closet. so thinking with a baby planned near future best hold off on new denim purchases rn. Major FOMO on these possibly being the last run, but I still got lots of life left on my current pair have. team 634. Side note I will be thinking about this all day lol, but should stick to my guns.
-
Just snagged the 888 UHR and have two recent xhs IB pairs. So tempted to try 634

-
@Denimhead-0 haha i was going to do that...but i have other things on my list!
-
@Denimhead-0 I'm struggling with the same thing! Just snagged the 888s, but the 634s are nagging at me ... Feel like I might want em down the line ...
-
@cyclops Must resist

-
This is my first UHR.. I think I’m going to be in the same boat when the 666 is released.
-
@meatmarketdenim1 I was in the same boat, thinking I should get a second pair, but after some soul searching I think it best to give the pair I have already some more love. There's always going to be something great on the horizon with IH!
-
@Denimhead-0 I have become a 634 convert after starting and sticking to 888. 1955 excluded.
-
Every time im on the IH forum. I didn't even plan on the UHR at all

-
Just a few more seconds!
-
After debating the 777uhr I ordered a 634 now because like @Kasi said it's the king cut
-
@FlavourFade

^This!

@northsouthdenimguy man tbh I never had a pair of 666 but the mobility I have in 634 without being too baggy is making me so happy when I pull them on haha

@rimaarts I’ve been thinking about your dilemma most of the day and I’m not happy with my response.
What I’m trying to say is that there is quite a bit of variability in how something will shrink and stretch, which is very hard to define precisely.
I’m not trying to steer you away from UHR, but trying to stress that if you have found a cut that works for you, you may have better luck with the variability removed from the equation.
UHR is fairly easy to size if you’re only dealing with one specific dimension that you worry about. In your case, it sounds like you’re worried about the over all fit and the silhouette changing from your desired look.
The 634 will not become a different cut when it shrinks, but your worry is valid. How much the calves shrink is an unknown and the possibility of them stretching back out is even more uncertain.
I wish I could say for certain that post shrinkage that it would fit as you desire, but I can’t. To be honest, I don’t know if anyone can.
Your best bet would be to find the waist that suits you best and hopefully it has a calves measurement that when it shrinks suits you and your goals.
I hope this is a bit better explanation of what I meant earlier.
In my case the problem was I tried 14oz 38 and it was a nice and semi slim cut on me (I'm screwed if it shrinks kind), a year ago I tried different denim 40 size, was swimming in it and I find it hard to believe size difference was just one size.
I have a par of kaihara 16oz which are ok with empty pockets but phone wallet and keys and they become too tight. And too tight+unbreathable+ heavy is not something I want to pay 317£ for..
In the end I ordered 38, and emailed if they would be kind enough to find a pair with 15-15.5 tights, and if they will somehow send me a pair with 14.5 tights, it'll be a straight return... Let's see what comes in the mail... Ideally between those 2 pairs I tried, I might be 39... But let's see what comes in the mail!
Oh and judging by measurement table, 634 should be a pretty nice 38 on me... And 8 shouldn't be drowning in 40... So let's see what comes in the mail...
