@kellohenkka I would go up one size from your usual Iron Heart jean size in the UHR 888. It's always easier to get them to shrink a little more if they're still too loose then being too tight. You can always give them a hot wash if you need to shrink them a little more. My 888 UHR were still a little loose once I washed them in cold water. I ran them through the washer again on hot water and they came out perfectly
I own multiple pair of unsanforized denim jeans and have always stuck with the size up one rule and it hasn't let me down yet. The 888 UHR shrink up a lot with a hot wash. -
@kellohenkka Please email the IHUK shop: shop@ironheart.co.uk for sizing advice regarding this denim. They will be able to guide you through your questions.
-
XHS were too filthy for church so today, it’s some UHR action.

-
-
Might have to give up on this pair due to me sizing wrong and losing some lbs when the restock happens but I can say the looser fit is kinda nice to do everything in

-
@warriors22 have you tried washing them in hot water yet? And if that doesn't work maybe throwing them in the dryer on low settings?
-
@jfox1980 gave it 3 soaks and 2 machine wash so far but haven’t thrown them in a dryer. Might have to give that a try. I jst feel the top block is way too big for my liking
-
@Phil_NYC nice man! Mine are at 7 months and a couple days.

Hi guys, need help on sizing these jeans. I wear true 36 waist in 666, 888, 634. My 888 14oz OD are 38, but they’re literally same dimensions like a regular 36W pair. What waist tag do I get in 21/23oz UHR?
Thank you all, and I apologize for seemingly dumb question

-
When I size IH jeans I focus on only 2 dimensions: waist and thigh. I might be in the minority, but I don't size up / differently for IH unsanforized / unwashed. In fact, my UHR are the only size 33 IH jeans I own. All of my others are 34s. The waist of my 888 UHR was 33.8 when new. Eight months (and 3 machine washes) later the waist is 34.2. Seems like most people size up in the UHR but for me, I have never had luck shrinking jeans permanently. They might be tighter for a bit but they always just stretch out again.
-
@Bane011 size them using dimensions (not tag size) to fit perfectly out of the bag. Soak them to shrink and they will be too small for a short time. They will stretch back to preshrink dimensions and you will have the perfect pair.
Correction: The waist will stretch back to preshrink dimensions, thighs should stretch some, length will not.
-
@goosehd You said it much better than me but that is exactly what I aim for - a perfect fit prior to any soaking or washing, especially in the waist.

Hi everyone.
This would be my first pair of raw denim jeans. I'm currently a size 36 in XHS.Would you recommend ordering a size 38 because of shrinkage?
-
I would stick with 36 as will stretch back out. Check all the other measurements also though.
-
@fadesandkicks. Tag size means nothing. Measurements is what you want to focus and they have not being released. Having said that if this run is anything like the last one I would take same tag size as my XHS as they start bigger to account for the shrinkage.
