Samurai’s S500AX-Sakura 18oz. Was intrigued by the weft being sakura dyed. There is a soft blush of pink in the weft that’s hard to photograph, but it’s pretty cool.

@RoxRocks86 I live the fit. Did you size them similar to IH? You feel they fit similar to 634's. I was looking for a pair but I am on the fence on sizing

Does anyone have experience with samurai flannels? Do they tend to shrink? On a website that is selling some it sounded like with a cold wash and line dry it will shrink anyway. Just wondering people expect this and its the norm? Its almost like they are making out it might shrink to fit

@cyclops. I did get a Samurai flannel recently, well within the past couple of months but I haven't washed it. Feeling at the fabric it seems to me that will behave similar to the 9oz IH. In other words, you can shrink it if that is what you intending to do,with hot washing it and putting it in the dryer, or you can cold wash it and hung dry for minimal shrinkage.

Hey @yannis this pair is a size up of what I would’ve actually got due to size not being available so it does have more of a relaxed/baggy fit. Also, the pair of 634‘s I have is 1 1/2 sizes smaller with a fitted top block so can’t really compare it with Samurai’s straight cut either. But out of curiosity I measured the sakura’s the IH way and compared it to IH’s 634 in the 17oz & 18oz denims and would say measurements are somewhat within the ballpark. I did notice the Samurai’s having a slightly lower rise (-1/2”) and marginally narrower thigh (-1/8”). These are also my first pair of samurai’s and got them on a whim without knowing anything about their fits. Just based it off of what measurements I could work with so take what I say with a grain of salt. Apologies as I’m not the best at giving advice on fit.

@cyclops Mine didn't shrink at all (wash at 30). They are very good, not fluffy like IH but very good.

Adding the S511 slim tapered 18oz & 19oz denims to the Samurai arsenal. Really dig the stealth look with no arcuates/branding besides the patches on both pairs & appreciate the smaller measurements that Samurai provides.
