IHSB-BIGBUCK-BLK - Black Deerskin Western Shirt - The Big Buck

@AdamJ thanks! That’s what I hoped
-
Ugh! Delays on my Shirt with the Midwest and East Coast winter storms in the US. 🥶
-
@TheChef17 I purchased this shirt in February of 2024 and immediately discovered a perforation just like this, but located on the back right shoulder area. So every time I move my right arm a fold or crease happens on that spot. I have worn this shirt quite a bit but definitely baby it and so far so good.
I figured I'd tell you that because yours seems to be in an area I'd consider a bit better to have this issue, either way it's definitely not something you want to have. I did let the IH team know about my issue and they said if it gets bigger or anything that they would take care of it. I actually have another spot on the front of the right side, under the stitching on the yoke, where it feels like a weak spot or the leather is degraded(you can see light through it).
The point is that both of these spots are still the same as the day I received the shirt but I also don't put it through much.

Just over 1 year old. , almost one wear each week .
Got caught in a light shower and became almost soaked through , didn’t notice any difference in appearance at all when fully hung dried , looked brand new.
Easily the nicest piece I’ll ever own . -
Hello all! Has anyone gotten one of these shirts soaking wet? Like REALLY soaked? Do they shink? Thanks!!!

My luck would have it that this is my only IHUK package ever stuck in UPS purgatory
. Soon enough. -

. Soon enough.Dang, I had a flannel in Newark NJ for 1 month. It eventually arrived. Fingers crossed for you.

@Denimhead-0 thanks! The freezing rain we got last weekend isn't helping. We aren't used to this and everyone has had a tough time getting their street plowed. We shall see soon!

I think this might be my white whale. I told myself it was too soon after the pale rider. Probably a mistake

Hi everyone, this one finally arrived earlier this week and would appreciate some opinions on sizing. Typically a 2-3X in tops, I went for the 4X with the intent of an over shirt. Definitely achieved overshirt territory, but I wonder if it's a bit too big? First three are over a CPO and the last two are worn just as a shirt. Thanks all.

@catdad1 I know it’s probably the last thing you want to hear but I agree with the gentleman above. The 3XL probably would’ve been more than enough for the layering you’re showing in these pics.
-
Where I would also have an issue is that the waist and the opening are just way too big. It almost looks good across the chest, although I think most of the extra material is in the back, or at least that’s what it looks like from the picture.
-
Also the back length and sleeves are really long. I personally don’t like my shirts passing my rear end that much but that’s personal preference. As for the sleeves, you can just roll up the end of the cuff but I don’t like how that looks with the IH shirts I currently wear so I’d imagine I wouldn’t like it on this one either, again— personal preference though.

I don’t know if they still do it but I sent a leather western to Johnson Leathers out in San Francisco a few years ago and had it altered. The cost was in the $300 to $400 range if I remember correctly.
They wouldn’t shorten the sleeves, had them take in the chest and the body but honestly, I ended up selling it because the proportions were off
so disregard what I said above… I think you would end up with the same thing that I did -
Damn it guys. Thank you for the honest feedback though, I have been on the fence since Thursday. Will hold out for the 3X next time.
-
Looks like it's the same length as your duck shirt, I think you could go down a size but doesn't look weird being a little big, you're not drowning in it or anything it's just the sleeves/length...
Up to you man! I'm sure you'll make the correct call!
-
Just to clarify, I don’t think it looks bad. It’s just one of those things where if I don’t feel good about it, I’m not going to wear it. If you’re similar in that respect, then you may want to move it along.
I could’ve made the 2XL work at 24.6” chest, but the shoulders need to be 21 to 22 for that to work out. Something about the combination of those two where I can wear a smaller chest than my actual chest measurement, doesn’t make sense to me but maybe it’s where the pit to pit falls.

IMHO, 4xl is too big, you would like 3xl better. From my experience smaller side is better. For me, 3xl is perfect. I have the 3XL Black, the Olive 4xl (1st run and too big), just picked up the 2XL Olive and it works better. The Buck is buttery soft comfortable and more enjoyable when closer to the skin with a Tshirt vs Hoodie or Thermal.
