@Salted-Racer said in UES Clothing MFG .CO.:
I want a tricotine so bad!!! lol
they should be available at the usual outlets in February. that's the word on the streets.
-
Really? Hope so!!!

I’m honestly conflicted about the Tricotine. As far as I can tell it’s more of an overshirt than a shirt. I’ve wanted one for over a year now but the IH indigo 21oz Untucked should be a thing this year (I’m assuming). I feel that they are both in similar heavy indigo overshirt territory and between the two, I think I’d probably opt for the Untucked as it’s got those awesome cpo snaps and pockets. Owning both might be overlapping too much. What do you guys think?
-
@Chibs kind of depends on what you're looking for. Tricotine will crock and fades like crazy. The 21oz untucked will be a slow burn. Untucked is gonna be better fitted and arguably more badass looking but less versatile IMO. Really up to you.
-
i have the 189-BRN (the Unducked) and now the tricotine. I think the Untucked serves a totally different purpose, definitely more of an overshirt / cpo with the pockets, as well as the denim fabric. the tricotine is more of a flannel on steroids. Not as soft as flannel but how i would wear it.
I think they can both co-exist in the same wardrobe. At least that is what I am counting on, because the Untucked Indigo is a must buy for me.
-
@freepickin how will the Untucked be less versatile?
-
@tenuin same, just got my Untucked in the last drop. I also have an SexCpoOD and an indigo Wabash CPO. Soo many overshirts and just one torso
. Good problem to have! -
@Chibs I like how tenuin phrased it, the Tricotine is kind of like a flannel on steroids whereas the CPO is more tough workwear. Much more obvious that it is a denim shirt whereas the Tricotine isn't denim so it kind of blends into other outfits a bit more seamlessly if that makes sense. My partner would be more agreeable with me wearing the Tricotine to a nicer dinner spot on a date night for example. Though I couldn't say for certain cause I don't have a 21oz Untucked yet! But I plan on grabbing it whenever it drops
I am also biased because I love my Tricotine and have faded the shit out of it so I'm pretty proud of it

Got mine from barnstormer also. Arrived right on time for red line rally deadline!
I wear xl in IH and went with size 4. Could have prob fit a size 3 but I couldn’t risk it since no returns. Horrible picture but I can measure it for you guys when I have some time later.
I seen iron shop provision say they are going to start taking pre orders for the Tricotine and they don’t expect it to sit long!
-
@Chibs I think the 21oz untucked is not to be expected before end of this year, maybe even 2027. The tricotine feels more like the kersey shirt, when I had mine it never felt like it's more overshirt than shirt. Comparing the two is a bit tricky because they will wear totally different. I think the untucked will be something that you will be able to get once and then have to wait a very long time, while the tricotine seems to be produced in limited quantity but at least you can buy it every 12-16 months or so.
-
@FlavourFade thank you! That makes sense as I’ve tried on the kersey. Maybe I’ll still order one, I’m not sure. Nothing is going to stop me from getting that 21oz Untucked though.

-
@Chibs i was thinking more about what you asked and what I wrote.. i have been after a Tellason Coverall for ages. I think that would rather take the same spot in the wardrobe as the Untucked indigo.
But yea, I can happily wear the same pair of jeans day in, day out. But a big part of the reason I reason why I signed up for Redline is to try to slow down on acquiring new (over)shirts

-
it's another thickass indigo colored shirt/shacket....N+1 right?
i'll probably cop one when they come back into stock. i wear my 293 CPO almost daily. if the tric had snaps instead of buttons and pockets, it'd be a no brainer right? but then even more overlap?
-
Here's my Tricotine, just snapped these photos. Maybe it'll inspire someone to get one and beat the tar out of it. haven't worn it much at all in the last 6 months or so but still one of my favorite pieces

-
@tenuin I get that! So many shirts / overshirts that’ll probably last the rest of my life. This Ironheart stuff is so well made and I’m sure UES isn’t far off. But we have to draw the line somewhere. How many indigo shirts / shakets / flannels do we need? With closet space being finite, I have to carefully weigh each potential purchase. I’m really curious about the Tricotine though.
I have a No. 7 indigo from them and it’s an absolute beast of a t-shirt and almost everyone seems to rave about the Tricotine. -
@freepickin most excellent!!!
