It’s pretty soft to start, doesn’t have that crispiness that like some other denim so the sleeve “combs” might take a little bit longer.

I’m already getting some arm creases and bright blues popping thru…

I don’t even know how they sell any of those pants. Toothpick legged folk with beer bellies be wearing these, or everyone is just interminably uncomfortable for their status piece.

I do keep wishing they’d change up the cuts on most of their clothes, but I just got to admit SJ maybe Isn’t for me.

I’ll never forgive myself for sizing my ramblin jacket wrong.

I’m two for three with Ship John clothing. I love the pocket tees, and the Kristofferson is fantastic. But the Denim Townes was a bit off for me proportionally and just felt a little wonky in its cut. Admittedly, I’m super particular about shirts, and a lot of it comes down to how the chest fit drives everything
else.

Other than one pair of 1955 16oz slubby, the 666 is my go-to denim from IH, and the Guthrie pant is kind of similar measurement-wise to the 36W 666 XHS 25oz(post soak). A 13-inch thigh is the bare minimum for me, but even then it’s still pretty fitted which I prefer over a really wide straight cut.

I agree 100% with the pants statement. And to be honest the shirts are almost always too long for me in the body and arms.. yet I periodically end up going for one because of their fabric choices.

The jackets on the other hand are hands down my favorite! Cut, material choice, pocket layout, Dehan collaborations are always amazing!

I now pre ordered a guthrie, mostly out of curiosity and the price point isn't too bad either, even with shipping, tax and duties later...

@Brock yeah I probably couldve gone 2xl in the jacket, but then I couldn't layer at all. I have also lost 60lbs in the last year, probably about 20lbs since the jacket was ordered so it was kind of going to be a more layerable jacket for me either way, but I love how much mobility I have

The Guthrie’s delivered today. Initial thoughts: they’re really soft and don’t feel waxy at all(should breathe) even though they’re definitely heavy. Fit-wise, at least for me, they’re looser than what the measurements on the site would suggest.

Overall, really happy with them looking forward to wearing them.

i’ll do a fit pic either sometime this weekend or maybe Monday.
