@Jett129 I can agree. Didn’t find his latest special to be his best, but I still enjoyed it. I mostly just love his take on things and his overall presence as a comedian. Takes the piss out of the A listers and doesn’t let woke BS cloud the reality of being a good person.

Agreed. I love his appearances on talk shows and awards shows but his standups, especially the new one, don’t hit the same way. The holocaust joke is a classic. As holocaust jokes go that is.

Also, I watched the new Chapelle special and liked it. I think he’s leaning into activist monologues a bit more but I respect that and feel like the times call for it more than before. It def had the feel of a quickly put together set but if that’s his B game then I’d say he’s still got it.

@Matt it’s kind of funny how I praise Ricky and he often talks about how wealthy he is. But when Chapelle does it, for some reason it rubs me the wrong way. I do love Chapelle. But he’s seemed to have lost a lot of his humility. What I do know about myself is that if I had that money and fame I would be insufferable. So I guess I shouldn’t let his bragging bother me too much.

@Giles I feel like that’s a pretty common philosophy amongst weight lifters in the gym,especially amongst guys looking to get jacked. It’s that last rep that you struggle to do that builds muscle.
