@jordanscollected I hear you, it's not bothered me in the same way and I think the final ep I watched, it sort of clicks for her. We'll see where it goes. They reckon they have 3 seasons planned - so hence the slow brooding start maybe.
Re: All Her Fault - have heard it's awful.
There's another discussion in amongst it all. TV shows on streaming platforms, their narrative structure, dialogue, framing and so on - it's all designed to make sure you can watch it + your phone screen at the same time, swapping between the two rather than competing for your attention completely. I'm sure not all tv shows are designed for our impossibly bleak attention spans but also, there's a fair amount that blatantly it. Hence lack of quality perhaps in some.
Having said that, there's still a lot of great things to focus on totally (if you can put your phone down long enough lol).

@Nick That's a really good point regarding the dual screen. They aren't necessarily making these shows for 40+ year old people. and even our generation is subject to multiple screen stimulation.
I noticed it big time when I watched "Red Notice" a few years back with the Rock and Ryan Reynolds. Every scene smashed rapidly into the next with very little build up.
The other movie was Don't Look Up with Leo and J. Law. It also was evident in structure and dialogue to be designed for people scrolling the forum while watching.

I’m 2 episodes in - it’s typical GR fare (i.e. he doesn’t venture far from a working formula) but enjoyable with it.
I’m still trying to work out whether Pierce Brosnan’s Irish accent is the worst or most authentic Irish accent on television. Bearing in mind he is Irish, and following a recent conversation I had with someone from Cork, I’m prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt! -
Also two episodes in - will definitely keep at it, enjoying so far

Pluribus, Mayor of Kingstown, IT: Welcome to Derry, Stranger Things have all been great to end off a cracking year for telly - I'm looking forward to the new season of Hijack starting on Apple TV mid January.

@Giles I'm so excited to see a new Line of Duty series. That show is the best police drama I've ever seen. So much better categorically than any show the U.S. has made.

@Giles The U.S. version would be 25% quality of writing with 300% conventionally attractive women. That's how we balance things out across the pond.
