@Yoprst I've had a pair of 777-XHS for 2 years now, mostly worn in the colder seasons — so I'd say around 9-10 months of daily wear with 3 or 4 washes. I thought the same as you up until recently, as they didn't seem to be softening. It was only when I compared them to a brand new pair that I realised how much they'd broken in!
It's still very noticeable how much more rigid they are compared to my 21oz, but they're definitely what I'd class as "comfortable" now, favourite pair in my rotation for sure.

@Yoprst They will become softer, but they will be tougher than the 21oz.

Guys, thank you all for your feedback, you've helped me. The thing is that there is 25oz ib restock around the corner and I having not much wear experience in this weight have to form up my opinion regarding it before I decide on buying a pair. Thanx again.

First wear today. Gonna have to admit you guys were right and the dudes at Self Edge were wrong: should have gone for the 33. Even after a warm machine wash they barely shrunk (except in inseam which was genuinely almost an inch). I think the cut through the leg is okay but the waist is very loose and the top block is a bit messy. Oh well, you live and learn. If I can't stand it within the next month or so maybe I'll try to resell and recoup some of the damage...

@schraiber I’ve come to appreciate a little extra room in the waist in XHS. Also it’s good to have some size variety for weight fluctuation in my experience. I think the fit looks good.

@RJScheuerle my all time favorites. Mine are like a pair of sweats at this point. I washed a lot so they aren't super contrasty but the are fading nicely.

I got this thin diagonal fade. Is this due to an abrasion or natural fiber width inconsistency in the loom? I’ve seen this happen once on another pair of raw denim.

Overnight soak to loosen some stubborn dirt. Somewhere around 8 months of wear.

@indigo_fades It depends. When I'm lazy I take them with my phone and when I want better quality I use my Nikon DSLR camera. This particular one was taken with Nikon

@catdad1 are yours hemmed in such a way that you have no stacks/don’t use any cuffs? I don’t see any fade evidence of either but I may just be bugging lol
His look similar to mine. I don't really cuff anymore and prefer a clean break without stacks. I find this to be the most versatile look across diffrent kinds of shoes. Since I haven't cuffed mine, the roping fading is amazing.
