@ZackB nice man! I think you will be pleased once you decide on the color way/make-up

@northsouthdenimguy thanks man! Definitely have heard a lot a of high praise for Glerups

I love them, I’m wearing them right now. Wore them all weekend up in the mountains. I started off with the leather bottom ones until I busted my ass on the hardwood floor after being outside on the wet deck.
I’m on my second pair of the rubber ones now. They last a long time, and I want to grab one more pair so I can keep one strictly in the house and use the other for quick runs to the grocery store, etc.
My wife looks at me like I’m insane every time I walk out of the house. She’s like, ‘It’s bad enough you wear boots all the time… but do your slippers have to be boots too?’”

Like the hunt for the perfect pillow
Have you tried buckwheat?
-
@pechelman Ho boy. I have heard of but have not felt one first hand… would very much be interested in your thoughts and brand recommendation if you have one

Fantastic @northsouthdenimguy

@flannel-slut I struggled with pillows that never gave support, created hot spots, as in my ears would go numb, and would also be physically very hot and not breathe. Also I'm a side and back sleeper so no one pillow was ever the right thickness or firmness. The buckwheat solved all those problems for me. It's a firm pillow, basically sleeping on a bean bag kinda, but the buckwheat hulls interlock to keep its shape when you get it adjusted to any contour and height. There's a bit of transition from a foam/feather type pillow but if goes quick. Easiest way to adjust them before sleeping is to even it out and then run your hand under the pillow while resting your head in it.
I've slept on many now with traveling through Japan including ones made from plastic beads kinda like from a school jump rope, some sort of plum seeds that were almost the size of an almond in its shell, and hybrids that also have feather around it. Personally, I think the regular buckwheat is a good place to start.
The most mentioned brand was comfy comfy but they're probably all about the same. Also, don't ever get in a pillow right with one of if these, it'll really hurt

Checking a lot of boxes @pechelman consider myself one step closer to giving buckwheat a try

Good luck with them! They certainly aren't for everyone and it took me a solid week or two to really be a convert but I'll never use another type of pillow at home. I also couldn't tell you the last time I woke up with a sore neck or shoulder which I feel like used to happen pretty regularly on normal pillows.

@pechelman thanks for the buckwheat suggestion. Pillows have been the bane of my existence, always looking for the perfect one. I’ll give these a try.

I’ve wanted one if these for a hot minute and finally found on sale from Liberty.

Also shown is my mini souvenir Rhino from Real McCoys. Love it.
