IHSH-436-RED - Ultra Heavy Flannel American Check Western Shirt - Red "The Watermelon Man"

Definitely be watching this one. Love this color combo
-
@Alex just curious as to why you didn't take this & SH-435 in the alternate cuts also as you surely would have sold all of them, or is the issue supply as much as demand?
-
@Rococo we made a deliberate decision to limit availability of UHFs to protect the supply of shirts generally speaking. We found oursleves and retailers would get overwhelmed with the choice and take too many of both cuts, then customers often would get choice paralysis by panicing over measurements between a western or a work in the same colour and end up buying neither. overall we flooded the market with too many UHFs that did not sell (see OD batch of late) and damaged the shirts factory's ability to make other shirts at the same time. Lose Lose

Choice paralysis and angry wives are real

-
Funny thing is, in the old days we would only release UHF's in either western or work. I got so much shit from customers bitching about not doing western when we only did work and vice versa, that I started doing both cuts in all UHF's. It went swimmingly well for a few years, then it didn't.
-
@Giles You can’t please everyone. I know of no better brand.

-
The current plan is good. If you made them all the way I wanted.... I'd be in real trouble on the home front
. The paralysis is quite real too as I wanted so badly to but a blue UHF yesterday but held off for this shirt which I haven't seen the measurements yet. So a slight gamble! Appreciate you guys. -
Hot dam!! @SamD

This'll be my first UHF, assuming I'm quick enough to snag one.
Could I get advice from staffers or UHF owners on sizing?
I measured a flannel shirt I own per the Iron Heart Youtube video, and came away with:
Shoulders: 18.25 “
Length: 30.5 “
Chest P2P: 21 “
Waist: 20.25 “
Sleeve: 24.625 “If it helps, I own the IH-526-142 in size 40, and it fits perfectly.
I'm guessing I'm a Large in this. Thoughts?
(Also: hey @Chibs! I came here because of one of your great YouTube videos. Looking forward to the next one!)

The measurements for this shirt are not published yet, but you will most likely be a medium or large, depending on which dimensions are most important to you.
-
@possiblymaybe I think you're approaching this the right way. Getting your measurements is the ideal starting point. In this case, the shirt measurements haven't been posted yet, so any advice is guesswork.
For a comprehensive guide on how @goosehd sizes his purchases, see here:

As soon as the measurements are up you will get a better idea regarding sizing

@possiblymaybe Nice! Welcome to the forum and great choice for your first UHF!
-
Feeling honored that my Herbie Hancock inspired name for this shirt stuck! Can’t wait to see this one in person

-
I had a hunch that was a Herbie Hancock reference.

Thanks all!

@possiblymaybe Be there on time and refresh refersh refresh leading up to the hour, I'm sure you'll snag one and be in for a treat as UHF's are honestly the best. Like someone else has said, the guys will post the chart before release so just check your measurements with the sizes and go on measurement not just size alone... Some IH stuff I size up from my "true to size" in other brands, some I size down, it's not like other brands with the Japanese... These aren't mass produced and are only manufactured in small batches, but you're in for a treat! Also welcome to the forum, I love this place
