It’s probably been mentioned many times but it’s sad that this topic even exists. I hate that I look at everything now with the thought that it could be a scam. What’s worse is that I think of my now 1 year old son and what he will have to navigate. I love that this forum finds these “people” and shuts them down even if just for a little while.

Thanks Giles. And yes this is pretty sad. It took me off guard. It was only when I started asking questions in the email and I clearly wasn't speaking to a denim head that I looked back at the original message. I've only been a member since the beginning of the year and I've found the community to be pretty amazing so it sucks that one has to be vigilant for this stuff.

              Dear all,
              Dear IH enthusiasts,

Currently, there is a wave of selling scam regarding IH items happening in Germany via the online platform "Kleinanzeigen" (former "EbayKleinanzeigen").
IH items are proposed at very low prices, sellers only accept PayPal Family and Friends, and rip you off. Of course, the items are never sent and your money is lost.

Examples of sellers´ names are/have been:
              Ro624; Victoria, Marc, Philipp, etc.
These are accounts from people who are usually long-standing members of that particular marketplace with good evaluation (that most likely have been hacked).

Kleinanzeige has deleted numerous accounts, but new ones pop up regularly.

Currently, I see one such item: https://www.kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/iron-heart-herren-jeans-hose-dunkelblau-w34-l36-wie-neu/2659519451-160-9482

              Please beware!

              Have a good day.
              Olivier

Buyer beware on the German platform kleinanzeigen.de!
I noticed a multitude of new offers at too-good-to-be-true prices. Photos are taken from older listings, seller accounts are probably hacked or otherwise compromised. Don't fall for these!

That's been going on for quite some time now... Considering the size of the platform they should have implemented something against this by now.

I almost fell for one of these feckers with a Fujifilm offer. They’re getting better and better, you really have to watch out.

PayPal goods and services saved my ass.

                    Use it or lose it.

@tody But unfortunately, they haven´t and these IH items come up regularly. The Primaloft jacket showed as first item on your pic was e.g. by Ro624, who has been banned.

On Monday, October 27, 2025 he told me that if I send the agreed upon sum, he'll send an IHJ-86-BLK, "tomorrow."
I PayPal send him the money on the morning of the 28th, logically expecting quick action (as was agreed upon).

There is no acknowledgement by the days end, so I ask him for the tracking number, please.

I wait 4 days, and after still no reply whatsoever, I file a case with PayPal.
This inspires him to tell me (within 3 hours), "Hey I'm so sorry I have been out of town due to a death in the family, I will ship this out Monday and send tracking."

Yesterday (Tuesday Nov 4), I asked for the tracking number. Or a refund.

Now, I see that he has removed the ad for this jacket (yesterday) and while doing it, has failed to reply to me, again.

He still has an ad up for a Schott jacket.
I want to spare somebody else the trouble of having to deal with this nonsense.

His profile shows that he's been on this forum since 2015, so I was hopeful...

I don't know what he hopes to gain from this.

He gave me no communication in this regard; PayPal has informed me of this action.

                            As always, buyer beware.
PayPal has underwritten this exchange, and proven its worth, again.

I’ll admit my transaction with @alexmweil fell short of a “Heroes” shoutout - I will say I did land a grail piece from him about 9 months ago or so…..

Glad you’re sorted @Shelby999 - sorry to hear you won’t be getting the piece you were after. And condolences to Alex for any loss - life is hard, and harder at certain times.

                              baby got stack….
