IHJ-65 - 21oz Selvedge Denim Mountain Parka

@Oaktavia I’m looking forward to seeing what this looks like in the spring and hearing about how it handled the winter. I have a black Wabash chore coat that is an amazing work jacket for 3 seasons. This jacket looks like it would be well suited for winter work use.

@Denman-John It kind of wears like a chore coat in the sense that it is longish, wears a little loose, has big pockets. If I worked outdoors for a living, I would definitely give it a go. But I'll just do work in and around the house, just wear it around to lounge, to and from work as a teacher, etc. I'm wondering if I can "get away" with wearing it indoors without looking too silly at work. It is usually pretty cold in my classroom so I'll probably give that a go. Either way, it will get worn enough to show some evo over the next six months or so.

@Oaktavia Thanks @Oaktavia. I've still got mine. It's a 3XL, and I'm a 4XL or bigger these days, so it's getting rather snug in the shoulders. Mine hasn't had a lot of fading, and I'm sure yours will look better by the Spring.

Bonus shot: My dog decided it would be a good place to sit.

@Giles Most of my favourite Iron Heart pieces have ended up in the Outlet. Frequently after I've paid full price for them.

I regret not picking up the IHM-38-BLK in 4XL a few months ago. I wasn't quite sure if the detachable lining would fit me, so I passed.

Mine doesn't get as much wear as it should, and it hasn't faded a huge amount. It's probably a bit heavy for most of the year, and my go-to is my IHJ-97.

Early signs of what is to come with this amazing parka. I have been wearing it over the 21oz CPO Sample. It is so comfortable! I have even been wearing them together indoors and my wife is 100% sure I'm indigo crazy (she knew before, just a blatant reminder).

I really love the raw 21oz denim. It has a different look and feel than the one washed flagship. It makes this coat ever the more special to me.

Im not sure this denim is raw. Pretty sure it’s just the regular 21oz. Still a gorgeous coat!

It's the normal 21oz signature denim.  It's unwashed, so looks a different colour than many of our 21oz garments because they have been washed.

I went by this bit that @Giles stated in the N1 version, which I think uses the same denim. Correct me if I am wrong, but did the parka, N1 and pea coat all use unwashed 21oz?

@Giles ah, gotcha...so does this make the denim raw? As in sanforized and unwashed? I know we are splitting hairs here, but I enjoy learning about these sorts of technicalities.
