      @Sir_Cuffs-a-Lot @Mizmazzle thanks!

      @Mister_Brue took a bit of time to organise then have it made. Hope I didn’t milk it too much 🙂

                Hard to capture how cool it is, but I got this aluminum wire bangle that is made from power lines downed during Helene. Now I wish I would have gotten one of two tone ones that still had the copper in it, also.

                  @sabergirl I completely misread your description of the copper ones as “two tonne” (I’m still half asleep). I know we like heavy stuff on here but that would have been truly impressive!

                          I’ve owned this cat’s-eye bead David Yurman bracelet for over a decade. A few years back it stretched out almost an inch and the inner cable started showing, so I pretty much stopped wearing it. While I was in Chicago a few weekends ago, I had it on and stopped by DY they sent it off for a full cable repair for free. Finally fixed after all these years.

                          Next, I’m going to try my luck at using black leather dye to get this braided bracelet back to black… wish me luck.

                            I’m too stoked not to share this one.

                            The wife is from Albuquerque and her dad was really into Navajo silver (and all things native art). She was going through old boxes and found one of her dad’s old sterling cuff. It just happened to fit me perfectly, so she gave it to me! I’ve never worn a bracelet this heavy and I’m really digging it.

                            You gotta love new stuff, shiny stuff, precious stuff, free stuff, heirloom stuff, and stuff with a story. It’s so cool when you get it all in one piece!

                            I’ve always been a gold guy, but I think I’m transitioning into a silver fanatic.

                                    @indigostiff The pressed on cuff is crazy! Is it still on 2 years later? If not, how did you get it off?

                                    I've always thought the permanent jewelry thing was cool, but it's usually delicate chains on women. This is an awesome idea

It does raise some interesting questions from others, and it's been through MRIs, security screens and the other with me - never coming off! I have though about others on my ankles, other wrist, etc., but this one prevails...!IMG_6573.jpg

                                        @indigostiff This is so cool! I had a wild idea to do a thick silver chain, like the GA model 10 chain, but weld it on like girls do with those tiny gold ones. I've been thinking through the process and how to keep the skin protected during the process.

                                          I had this pendant made by a local goldsmith. Its a Roman denarii from ca. 180 a.d., struck with the face of emperor Marcus Aurelius on the front and an altar, eagle and the inscription CONSECRATIO on the reverse.

                                            About four and a half years ago, I had surgery to reattach my quad tendon to my knee after a catastrophic rupture. I forgot to remove my bracelet beforehand, and when they were prepping me for surgery, they did not have a screwdriver small enough to remove it. They told me they would have to cut it off. I said there was no way that was happening, so they ended up wrapping tape around it.

                                            What I did not realize at the time is that metal jewelry can be a problem during surgery. They use electric tools to control bleeding, and the current is supposed to flow safely through your body to a grounding pad. Oh well, who knew? obviously not the dumb Home Builder/GC

                                            I have not removed this bracelet well over five years…
