IHSH-424-IND - 8.5oz Herringbone Stripe Western Shirt - Indigo
Our classic western shirt, cut from 8.5oz Japanese Herringbone Stripe cloth. Defined by its distinctive zig-zag weave, Herringbone has been utilised in workwear for centuries and is highly regarded for its robust characteristic. Lightweight yet durable, this 8oz Herringbone features tight vertical chalk stripes entwined in the weave to create a classic aesthetic similar to workwear staples such as Wabash and Hickory Stripe. Woven with indigo-dyed warp and sulphur-dyed weft yarns, you can expect this fabric to mellow and fade with a beautiful vintage character. Finished with black heavyweight snaps and contrast stitching to emphasise the pocket lines and western-style yokes.

@SKT @Tago-Mago Agreed both. Summer work shirt? Maybe it’s too nice for that; what a beautiful fabric.
Incoming snap upgrade…

It'll get nicer with wear! I am imagining the Brue treatment on this one. Would be legendary.

I have 2 Wabash a chalk stripe flannel. This probably looks different in person. The lines are super clean.

@CosmoSix5 Yes, I can confirm. A friend of mine is fading the sample, it's pretty incredible in person. Verging on dress shirt territory by IH standards, it's a sharp fabric that holds up incredibly well to wear.

this with brass buttons....

Here we go. The fades are in.
Much love to Adam Welch for the commitment and wear.
58 days, 2 soaks, 5 washes.
Some words from Adam on the journey:
"Here are the last snaps in the wild of this beauty. The weather has been less than ideal, but the essence of the evolution is still evident in these exposures. It is an extraordinary example of Iron Heart. The complexity of the weave, the cut, the luxuriously light yet impervious fabric, and the fabulous fade potential make this a competitive complement to the 12oz Wabash. Any conscious connoisseur would undeniably need both.
This has been an exhilarating experience, and I hope it won’t be the last. I want to extend my gratitude and appreciation to all y’all for the opportunity to contribute creatively to Iron Heart, something that has been a dream of mine for a long time. Thank you!
I’m looking forward to the Fall/Winter Release, hopefully people will be able to see the potential in this beauty. It was coming alive these last few weeks, and I’m sure that with only a little more attention, the fades will become monumentally mesmerizing. Indigo Herringbone for the win!"

@goosehd Thanks for the link. I should clarify—I wasn’t looking for an exact date. But based on the timing of prior FW ’23 and ’24 IHSH launches in the calendar, would late September to mid-October be a fair estimate for this one?

@brownr1 for what it’s worth, this is the only piece from the FW25 collection that I’ve seen on eBay from a Japanese seller which is usually a good indication that it’s not far away. Will probably be one of the first of the collection.
Edit: only available in an XL though so maybe a sample and ignore my post completely
