IHSH-414-WHT - 9oz Cotton Linen Work Shirt - Off White
-
I’ll tack on here to agree with @steelworker & @Tago-Mago This shirt is awesome, very soft hand but sturdy, and super comfortable right off. I also have so many indigo/black/green shirts, that this one really helps to spark the wardrobe with some contrast. I find myself looking over the twill lines and flecks quite a bit, it’s a subtle beauty.

Waited till the very last moment to cop one of these in my size. Thanks @SKT for giving me that last nudge. Hell of a shirt
-
@SKT it really is and separates itself nicely from other IH fabrics. Should be able to get year round wear out of this one

@flannel-slut looks great man, I was so curious about this one. Looks like I should of got it
-
@flannel-slut it’s a really interesting fabric. It has the typical IH heft and to me feels a bit heavier than 10oz chambray even though it’s listed at 9oz. I may track down the black too cause I agree it could be worn year round.
The heavier feel may just because it has a “drape” to it. Really love it

Couldn't agree more. It's a perfect mix of a comfortable-from-the-start shirt that also feels substantial and rugged. On day one it feels like your most well broken in denim shirt. I actually starched the heck out of the collar just to give it some structure.

How is this shirt in the heat? I’m looking for something to wear next summer in Europe.
-
@michael-rose0107 not sure how hot your summers get in your area (or your tolerance) but will say the 5oz shirts are better hot 🥵 weather options. Love the 414 and can definitely get some summer use out of it but not would reach for this on the hotter (or colder) days of the year.
-
@michael-rose0107 like @flannel-slut already said, it's not the shirt you would reach for when it's still 25 degrees celsius and sunny. I would compare it to the 10oz chambray in that matter, a great spring or fall shirt, or if you have a higher tolerance you would maybe also wear it in summer, but not all day in the heat.
-
On the other hand, if you wear it like an over-shirt, you can start the day with it open with a light T-shirt under, and close it on the evening/night for a cozy feeling and smart look
I went to a festival with it and did just that. But I agree with the others on the warmth, as I had to wear it on my arms when I was in full sun at the warmest moment of the day (14h-16h).

@michael-rose0107 Not worn much at all all Summer - when I have been too warm. Stick to the 5-6oz Chambray / etc. Should get more use soon in early Autumn.
